The developer of this new build contemporary property approached OPS to create designs for the rear garden and a dedicated hot tub area. The budget was tight at the concluding stage of the build and consequently the client was after maximum impact for minimal expense, or if using developer language ‘bang for buck’.
Brekkuskógur Cottages are designed by Arkibullan Architects, for the BHM Icelandic Academic Association. The entrance is under a porch towards the north, whereas towards the south lies the veranda with a hot tub and outside dining area. Kitchen, dining area and living room merge together to provide the houseguests with simutaneous views of the scenic landscape in all directions. A corridor covered in bookshelves from floor to ceiling leads to the bedrooms and the bathroom.
The surrounding
The HTBLuVA Salzburg is located in the district Itzling on the northern edge of town. The school building, built about 30 years ago, is by far the largest building in the area. The school is easily accessible by public transport. The train station is less than a 10 minute walk away, the local train is in the immediate vicinity and a large number of public busses drop of students directly in front of the main entrance. There are also about 180 parking spaces for teachers and students.
The project is located on the ground of the alluvial cone of the Davaglione stream in Montagna, Valtellina, Italy.
To the east of the plot there are the public street and the wall of the stream bank, to the south there is a private house built departing from the right distances from the border, so the quality view is completely obstructed on this side.

The volume is distributed in two separate pavilions, adjacent but with slightly staggered locations for breaking its total volume.The shape of the buildings is typical of simple construction with a pitched roof, the archetype of the “house.” It’s composed by n.1 deposit for rowing boats n.1 training-room and n.1 multifunctional room.
Starting from the intent to upgrade the existing backside of an existing building and the desire to cluster all youth activities in the municipal community of Kortenberg, the choice was made to build a new youth center above the existing storage spaces of the cultural center Columba. This location was also much better situated than the current location of the youth center.

The narrow sloping and afforested site, south faced towards the Beukenlaan, is not that typical Flanders plot. In the past the neighbourhood seems to have been a residential recreation zone, where Belgians used to build their individual summer houses. When asked to build a new spacious residence on this particular site, AST77 was confronted with a bungalow and extension.
Nicholas Hare Architects LLP were appointed by the Royal Opera House in 2007 to design a new production workshop for set construction and fabrication at a new site in Purfleet Essex to RIBA stage D, and have been retained by the Royal Opera House to monitor the construction of the building during the design and build procurement process. The new building accommodates a large paint-shop for vertical and horizontal scene-painting as well as carpentry and metal workshops.

This building was built in Kagawa Japan. It locates nearby Mt. Yashima, the natural monument of this region, suburb of Takamatu city. We designed this building as a floating white box which benefits from the scenery of Mt. Yashima.
