White Monkey Pizza Lab & Bar in Leipzig, Germany by Ippolito Fleitz Group GmbH

Friday, August 25th, 2017

Article source: Ippolito Fleitz Group GmbH

Pizza! Always a delicious slice of memory. Of Italy. Of sun, espresso, the Vespa. Of the unique Italian instinct for lifestyle and dolce vita. Marché International tunes into this attitude towards life with its new restaurant concept, reinventing the pizza with White Monkey. To underscore this unconventional approach, the internationally aligned restaurant brand clearly positions itself as a pizza lab and bar: ingredients are combined in unusual ways; the pizzas are long instead of round, they are cut with scissors and shared amongst friends; the pizzeria becomes a cocktail bar, an urban meeting place that is open all day. In the constantly expanding yet fiercely competitive market of system gastronomy, it is crucial to do more than just present a coherent restaurant concept. With a Corporate Design that comprises not only interior design, but also the complete brand communication from logo to restaurant décor to website and social media presence, we have created a consistent and remarkable brand image for the White Monkey brand – with interdisciplinary thinking in place of salami tactics.

1st Avenue Residence in Montréal, Canada by Architecture Microclimat

Wednesday, June 14th, 2017

Article source: v2com

This new sun-filled home is part of Montreal’s urban narrative yet offers all the advantages of a residential community.

Renewed typology

Montreal’s residential neighbourhoods, densely sowed throughout the 20th century, are interspersed with tiny homes, strewn here and there in the urban landscape. When these buildings are left behind and go on sale, they offer architects a new playground to explore their work, to find creative ways to integrate a contemporary lifestyle in more traditional streets at the heart of the city.

Nivim House in Goa, India by architecture R/T

Friday, March 17th, 2017

Article source: architecture R/T

Nivim is Goa’s first Gold rated green building certified by the IGBC – Indian Green Building Council in October 2013. It sits on a 1025 square meter property on a hill in a sleepy village in Goa. Before construction, the site had 14 fully mature trees- two jackfruit trees, one mango tree, two tamarind trees and one telful tree. The design of the house incorporates all these existing trees. Two trees in particular were located right in the center of the property and one of them rises up almost 15 meters.

SYDNEY STREET in Queensland, Australia by Shaun Lockyer Architects

Wednesday, November 23rd, 2016

Article source: Shaun Lockyer Architects

Sydney Street involved the re-calibration of 100 years of Queenslander vernacular into a contemporary inner-city home. The idea was to renovate and extend the cottage in such a way as to reinforce and maintain the original geometry and form. The new architecture is expressed in the outdoor room and the ground plane of the ‘undercroft’ where brickwork has been chosen to ‘anchor’ the house into the site. A sympathetic but edgy approach to detailing and material completes an engaging and relevant addition to the tree-lined streetscape.
