Behind the lineal road, the plateau as a balcony over the meadow is converted into a platform. This landscape appears unprecedented and unexpected: the ochre colors and cracked land are transformed into the intense green and yellow colors of the agriculture possible thanks to the river hidden by the topography. Is in this frame, long platform, the place where San Jorge University buildings inhabit.
Founded in 1957, the Middle East Centre at St Antony’s College serves as the University of Oxford’s facility for research and teaching on the Arab world, Iran, Israel and Turkey from the 19th century to the present day, with its focus on the research of humanities and social sciences. The centre has been housed at 68 Woodstock Road (the former rectory of the Church of St Philip and St James, built in 1887) since 1978.

New Glass-Fronted Building Provides Learning and Diagnostic Spaces
CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA—The Education Resource Center (ERC), designed by Los Angeles-based CO Architects, is now under construction to fill a gap within the University of Virginia’s medical campus in Charlottesville. The four-level, 46,000-square-foot facility is being built for the University of Virginia Health System on a tight site between the Emily Couric Clinical Cancer Center and a hospital parking garage. The new building is located across the street from the front entrance of the University of Virginia Medical Center and railroad tracks at the rear.
Landscape architects Grant Associates are to develop and deliver phase one of the public realm for The University of Sheffield, which is set to revolutionize the University’s campus, open it up to the public and link it firmly with the city centre.

Bergen University College brings together the engineer, teacher and health educations in one new building complex. The college is built on a former railway depot site, where new buildings blend in, regards being taken to the layout of the rails, with the original structures.
The school is designed as a serpentine shape winding its way through the old structures, thus creating intimate courtyards and nice outdoor spaces for the Kronstad quarter.
The architects by the name of gaupenraub+/- consisting of Alexander Hagner and Ulrike Schartner have in cooperation with students from the University of Vienna and the association Vinzenzgemeinschaft St. Stephan developed and completed the project VinziRast-mittendrin in the 9th district of Vienna.
Pedagogen has been redesigned using an over hundred years old hospital building into a modern educational facility. In addition, a new modern architecture building has been integrated with the old part which has resulted in a successful meeting between new and old style.
The project for the University Residence at Pólo da Ajuda – U.L. is conditioned by the requested built density, according to the programme requirements, by the limits of the site plot area and maximum given facade height. Between the Residence and the Canteen existing building it is created a public path connecting the North street, close to the Architecture Faculty, to the South street.
TOBB Economy and Technology University that has been established in Ankara is an urban-scale architectural transformation and development project. Once used for secondary education, the existing buildings have been given new functions as the core of the university. Within the scope of the master plan work, in time, neighboring new areas have been added to the campus and new areas of development have been planned. This development phase has focused on the formation of an urban texture, aiming for the transformation of the immediate periphery into an education-and-student-intensive urban quarter.
