Villa M is a renovation project of 2016. A jewel in the wild green of southern Sardinia (Italy), more precisely in Villasimius, a few steps from the sea and the beaches.
The intervention involved both the interior and exterior, including the construction of two small extensions, one in the main building and one in the small annex.
The main objective was to give more prominence to the beauty of the place, the landscape, nature and local materials, so predominant, that left no choice but simplicity and purity in the forms and lines.
This spacious villa with Italian style has a typical farmhouse character combined with a modern feel. It’s located in a green oase in a small dutch village close to Rotterdam.
Because of the close collaboration between exterior architect Friso Woudstra and interior architect Martijn Veldman the lines of exterior and interior are merged into one natural surrounding with a great detail of perfection and symmetry.
Villa Monoi is a holiday home at the southern end of Playa Tamarindo located in the province of Guanacaste Costa Rica. This zone of Costa Rica belongs to an area of the most arid country affected by a pronounced dry season lasting one third of the year. The flora and fauna belong to the dry tropical forest and the region in general suffers from occasional droughts and water scarcity. The house is introverted since its location does not allow for the enjoyment of exterior views more than the groves of a green area contiguous to the property in the middle of a residential development.
The dwelling is implanted in a privileged landscape, with gorgeous visuals to the Small mountain ranges of the Punilla Valley, in a private neighborhood at the Northwest of Córdoba, in Mendiolaza City.It presents a rugged topography, with large height differences that allowed us to play with two big volumes supported one over the other one, restinguponthe natural terrain. This situation generates large overhangs, reinforcing the idea of monolithic volumes.
We materialize the concept with concrete seen cast on site in a phenolic formwork. This material is noble, classic, traditional and low maintenance, the same as the stone that was used to erect the retaining walls and the house basement.

Spaces, atmospheres, textures and light are the four key concepts to approach the Sundaram House project, concepts that merge into an architecture so simplistic and imposing that it is a paradise to inhabit.
The spaces are methodically distributed in three levels that contain two residential areas; one for the owners of the house and another one for their guests.
In the main area the garage and a front garden are found, perfect exordium for the living hall that welcomes its visitors and thus, start the tour to the kitchen, dining room and a covered terrace with a pool in a central garden and outdoor cinema , a guest room, laundry, two main bedrooms connected by an extensive corridor and a study-terrace that offers an incomparable view of the natural landscape of the mexican jungle.
Nestled in the picturesque landscape of the Algarve coastline, on a hill between wild thyme and rosemary, this low energy house was built for a family based in Germany. The family had been coming to this area for 30 years and finally decided to build their own holiday home. For the retired couple it was important to create a ground-level living area. Their previous holiday home, spread over two floors, made it difficult to use with their older age.
As architects, CORE team was required to design a single-story house that allows communicative living on one level, but at the same time blends gently into the steep hillside allotment. The access to the garden was required to be comfortable and effortless.
Bakkum is a small village close to the coast just north of Amsterdam. At the edge of a large natural reserve and in between the trees Villa Bakkum was built. Villa Bakkum a minimalistic house with 3 wings that emerge in the surrounding nature.
Flavia was born and raised in this house. She later decided to return and move back in. Every centimeter of this small dwelling is well-organised and perfectly matched with the rest.
Built in the early 1900s, the abode exuded the traditional features of Piedmontese rural houses, with its vaulted ceiling and cotto tiles.
The renovation led to a significant alteration of spaces, necessary to adapt to the demands of modernity while combining functionality and comfort.
Situated in the pine woods, Villa Zeist 2 adds a strong horizontal line to the vertical nature of its surroundings. A concrete canopy connects the different brick volumes of the villa, which reflect the wishes of the family. HofmanDujardin conceived their house as a series of interconnected rooms which provide intimacy and offer views to the woods and the sky.
