The project is situated in the border of Queulat National Park in Patagonia, 3 hours away from Cohiaique, which is the nearest city. This compromised the material and construction logistics decisions to secure its construction quality and ageing because of tough climate conditions. The project was built in 4 months. The process consists of bottled glacial water.
Most of all, we focused on a robust, simple and tranquil architecture intuitively as we take up the form and space. Another point we considered is a vigorous architecture which evoke water vitality in still emotion. The circular form symbolises pure crystal of living organisms. Circular plan which is 32 metres in diameter, 11 metres in height soars from the ground. Firm, still and refined curve wall opens with gradual, arbitrary and rhythmic rules. We expect another tone colour through the open and solid curved wall. Musical facade is achieved through this project it plays in andante, moderato and allegro. It conveys silence and movement simultaneously.

Giannikis SHOP / THESSALONIKI WATER TRANSPORT PIERS / HONORARY MENTION IN NATIONAL ARCHITECTURE DESIGN COMPETITION
Floor, Pavilion, Inflated Pneumatic Structure
Four Piers (Eleutheria Square, Megaro, Aretsou, Perea) were designed for the Architecture Competition for the Thessaloniki Water Transport Piers. Each Pier is composed of three elements: the Floor, the Pavilions and the Inflated Pneumatic Structure.
The project Between the Waters: The Emscher Community Garden is located at one of the narrowest points on Emscher Island, between the Emscher River and the Rhine-Herne Canal. The walk through the project starts next to the Rhine-Herne Canal, with visitors entering the Community Garden; it then leads uphill beside the fully exposed water supply and treatment installation. The walk ends on an elevated platform above the Emscher River dyke. Here visitors can view the challenging topography of the landscape and see for themselves how the highly polluted (and for this reason fenced-off) Emscher River is elevated above the nearby towns, which have sunk as a result of mining activity in the previous century. Looking down the slope towards the Rhine-Herne Canal, they have a clear view of the complex water processing installation, which works with the water on the site between the two waterways.
