The old stone wineries of the Ribeira Sacra (Galicia) were (and are) heterogeneous constructions linked to house where the activities of the local economy are developed, such as preserving ham, wine and spirits in addition to storing straw and putting the beasts to rest.
The project fully recovers one of these old cellars to convert it into a new home. The project is based on three premises:
The client spent a long time searching for a top floor apartment to live in; as soon as he found this property, he was in no doubt and he purchased it. The current dwelling was converted from a dated 4 bed flat to a bright and airy space, creating a continuity between interior and exterior, benefiting from the spacious terrace and providing the most possible space to the remaining area. The exterior areas can be used all the year on thanks to good weather of Santa Cruz de Tenerife.
Blanc i Negre was based on the aim of recovering the essence of a traditional bar. Its cooking style reflects its environment: an interpretation of the local cuisine that stands up for the taste and quality of the local products.
Located in a privileged environment, on top of a cliff with panoramic views of great landscape value, on the one hand facing the Cala Ambolo, and on the other side facing the Bay of Granadella, in Javea. The house stands as a viewpoint to the open sea in multiple directions “The House in Cala Ambolo consists of a strategically fragmented area that addresses the views towards the visual interest of the plot”.
The job of reforming and extending a school in more than double its current area, required a new wide-scale interpretation of the project and the way it fits into its surroundings.
The project for the renovation of this emblematic bar of the capital, was created from the very beginning as an holistic reform able to renew its image without compromising its essence. Features such as its unbeatable location, facing the Malaga Cathedral in Plaza del Obispo, or the special place acquired over the years in citizen minds, help this design to became a real challenge and an unique opportunity to participate in this wonderful city and its citizens.
