Article source: taller básico de arquitectura

Geography as origin

The preschool is built on the urban limit of Haro. A place without buildings, marked with road lines, announces its immediate apparition. The strong slope delineates and discovers for us the possibility of an architecture of a geographic origin.

The offices of the Castilla León Junta in Zamora, Spain by Estudio Arquitectura Campo Baeza

Wednesday, December 2nd, 2015

Article source: Estudio Arquitectura Campo Baeza

Facing the cathedral and following the outline of the former convent’s kitchen garden, we erect a strong stone wall box open to the sky. Its walls and floors entirely   made of stone. The very same stone as the Cathedral. A real Hortus Conclusus. In the corner facing the cathedral, a massive stone measuring 250x150x50 cm, a veritable Cornerstone. And chiselled on that stone.

TMOLO House in Asturias, Spain by PYO arquitectos

Tuesday, November 24th, 2015

Article source: PYO arquitectos

Before its conversion, the farmhouse was untouched for over five decades and needed a complete renovation to be adapted for contemporary needs. There were two construction sites: the main house and a stable. The main house was in a very bad condition, overgrown with vegetation, and numerous repairs had to be made to make it livable. The stone and timber structure of the stable was significantly deteriorated and most of the walls had to be replaced.

Friday, November 20th, 2015

Article source: Lagula Arquitectes

Z-Balca House reconsiders some of Lagula’s formal and material premises previously used in PGAC. The origin of such questioning comes from the PGAC management itself, who was interested in a non-conventional building, and interested in the use of dry construction technologies.
