Relationship With the Urban Environment
The lot is located in the north-east/south-east expansion zone of the old urban area. The land is located on two different altitudes and cut by a steep road. The new expansion lines give the site an ideal size of hinge between the old town and the new urbanization.
The church will have the task of orienting, disposing itself, as in history has always been, “ad orientem”. With the facade facing west and the apse area to the east, the church appears as an isolated body.

Villa Boncompagni alla Cicogna is located in the heart of the Bolognese countryside, in San Lazzaro di Savena: a 16th century villa situated at the end of a long avenue of lime trees along the historic Via Emilia, one of the last works by the famous architect Jacopo Barozzi. Commissioned by Marquis Giacomo Boncompagni, son of Pope Gregory XIII, as a noble residence, the historic residence has been converted into the headquarters of the Academy of Unipol Group thanks to the interior design of the Florentine studio Pierattelli Architetture.

The Pratic Headquarters dialogue with the earth and the sky, with light and shadow.
The productive and directional functions relate to the landscape without mimicry. The spaces are designed with the aim of establishing a constant relationship between interior and exterior. Thus Pratic becomes the landmark of the landscape.
The Pratic Spa, a manufacturer of solar shading systems, is an industrial site where the architecture for production becomes a contribution to the landscape and reinforces its identity.
Bressanella Agricultural Pavilion is located in Besana, in Brianza, which is one of the most densely populated areas in Italy and Europe, where land has been consumed to commercial and residential uses at sky-high rates. In this context, a small farm has yet decided to bet on sustainable and ethical values, against mainstream trends being part of the Short Food Supply Chain thus enabling a closer relationship between producers and consumers. Therefore the key concepts of the project are state-of-the-art technology, sustainability and a “short” production-consumption configuration. The pavilion has a simple architectural shape, in which two volumes slightly rotated between them follow the natural configuration of the land, supported by a basement that also acts like an “edge” for the rear slope.
A house from the earlyXXcentury in Milan, about 50squaremeterslarge.
To study its physiology and materiality.
To understand that those who designed and built it they would have never believed in all the infinite small changes that each inhabitant would have made in less than a century (for example, the shared heating pipes are positioned in the middle of the house, instead of along the perimeter).
