The project of the apartments in Moscow for a young couple. The main objective of the project was to unite three separate apartments into a single functional space. The color range is monochrome – white, grey, black, plus the natural color of wood and bright accents of furniture and textiles.
The design uses renewable energy to redefine typologies in architecture and the built environment. The site is located in Sochi, a coastal city on the Black Sea in Russia. The building uses the oscillat-ing water column principle to harness wave energy, converting this mechanical energy to generate electricity; it also accommodates a sculpture gallery. This symbiotic program merges a small power plant capable of producing up to 300kW with a sculpture gallery to redefine typologies and accom-modate self-sufficiency by generating sustainable energy that is fed back into the grid. This project aims to supply energy to 200 households and businesses within its vicinity.

The presentation of the new “Tesla”, presented by Elon Musk in November 22, 2019, caused logical bewilderment for many. We are excited to kick of the new year with a new project in Russia. In a competition organized by Citymakers, ODA won the bid to design a 3 million SF master plan right outside of Moscow for the developer Glavstroy. It will be a large mixed-use development intended to regenerate industrial zones just outside Moscow City. The city has a significant number of these post-industrial sites in valuable areas, directly aligned with main transportation vectors. The MAZD master plan will be a comprehensive kickoff for the conversion of the industrial Magistralnye Ulitsy territory. The MAZD area is 9.3 ha. and will, in many ways, affect the further development of the surrounding neighborhood. It is ODA’s objective to create a meaningful contribution to the development of this urban fabric, one that will, overtime, set the guidelines for a more pedestrian, green and mixed redevelopment, and one that will become a destination in this valuable part of the city.

Moscow Brewing Company has launched a new brand space that includes a tasting room, company store and lounge zone, located on the vast brewery grounds.
The space was previously used for the project «Brewhouse», that provided young street artists with a platform for displaying their work. As part of the new project, fragments of the artworks have been preserved on the walls. They have an influence on zoning scenarios and the design of individual elements.
The entrance area is characterized by bold formal compositions that draw on the symbolism and aesthetics of the company. Custom designed elements echo industrial machinery; a steel tasting ‘tank’ bar stand, massive pipe–shaped lamps and benches that resemble huge wire spools.
n.n. represents a spatial exploration between concealment and exposure. This layered topography blurs the line separating landscape and construction. It is the private residence of a family in a rural area along the River Moskva. The geometry of the floor plan fuses the building with the ground it is located on by removing individual layers and creates spaces between the strata.
