The new viewing tower and landmark on the harbour of Aarhus Ø, The Salling Tower, is shaped as a dramatic urban sculpture with a significant architectural expression.
The new Port Centre unites many of the central functions at the Port of Aarhus in a central building complex, which is designed to form an extremely flexible facility.
The five-storey building, with a total area of 13,000 m², includes port administration offices, workshops and warehousing, a customer reception centre, security management, canteen and staff welfare facilities as well as a public cafeteria.

The Infinite Bridge is a sculpture by danish architect studio Gjøde & Povlsgaard Arkitekter built and exhibited in connection with the international biennale, Sculpture by the Sea 2015, that takes place in the scenic coastal landscape surrounding the city of Aarhus.
Architecture, nature, culture and history fuse together into a total experience at Moesgaard Museum. With its green roof, bright courtyard gardens, and underground terraces, the museum will invite various new and alternative kinds of exhibitions.
Vestas’ new development centre in Aarhus is designed to concentrate the company’s development facilities under one roof. The development centre will contain office facilities for 500 staff members, as well as a showroom and large and small laboratories and test facilities. It has been designed in the form of a triangular building with glass facades, with clear and tinted glass in the closed panes. Adjacent to each horizontal bar are deep profiles which create dynamics and movement in the facade.
With its distinctive form and a façade composed of a geometrical pattern of triangular aluminium and glass panels, the new headquarters building for NRGi, one of Denmark’s biggest electricity suppliers, has become a striking landmark on the outskirts of Aarhus.
This functional villa, situated near the city of Aarhus, is built on an undulating plot at the fringe of the forest. The spot is remarkable for the beauty of its scenery, but it also poses a challenge for the architect. The answer to this challenge is a “folded disc”- design which allows you to enter the front of the house at one level, but to access the garden from the house at two levels. The house itself gives off a dynamic feeling of interaction with the plot and the landscape. To achieve this effect, the horizontal lines are complemented by a slanting roof and together they frame a pleasantly private space with respect for the surrounding nature.
The aim of the new campus is to help consolidate the activities at one of Denmark’s largest educational institutions. Covering approximately 27,000 square metres, the complex will bring together the many specialist disciplines under one roof and create links and cohesion across disciplines. The vision is to create a flexible, dynamic, cross-disciplinary study environment where students, lecturers and visitors can meet, knowledge can be shared, and ideas can come into being. A central plaza located in the midst of the four wings of the building will act as a meeting place for approximately 2,000 students who will be spending their days on campus in the future. Above the plaza, the building will open up towards the sky and draw the daylight in, while balconies and terraces will define the atrium beneath the expansive light from above.
One of Grundfos Dormitory’s remarkable characteristics is providing student housings in the heart of Aarhus’ new harbour front development – that is, a low cost residential building on a very attractive site. Like many other industrial harbor fronts, the former container port of Aarhus is being transformed into a dynamic new neighborhood. Grundfos Dormitory is one of the first finished projects in the area that on completion will be home to 7,000 inhabitants and provide 12,000 workplaces. Its total site area amounts to 800,000 m2 making this development one of Europe’s largest harbor front city developments.
