WANKA HOUSE in Buenos Aires, Argentina by Estudio Galera

Tuesday, July 15th, 2014

Article source: Estudio Galera

Wanka House is a vacation home thought of as a place where things happen and as a playful space where family and friends meet to relax… this does not mean, however, to be quiet.

The house, which is set a hundred meters from the sea in Cariló – a seaside town 400 km from Buenos Aires city-, is nourished and inspired by the landscape. This is why the brief took full advantage of the views of the surroundings and the optimal sunlight where the plot is situated.

Eloisa Iturbe Studio in Buenos Aires, Argentina by POP-ARQ

Wednesday, July 9th, 2014

Article source: POP-ARQ

Pop-Arq is an Argentinean branch of Supersudaca. At Supersudaca, and most of all with the Chilean architect Juan Pablo Corvalán, we developed the ‘mueblenstein’ concept, a mixture between furniture and Frankenstein. Those are objects that resolve several problems at a time by adding functions. In reduced or complex spaces, sometimes a single object can solve the whole architectural demand and linking functions not related.

Min House in Buenos Aires, Argentina by POP-ARQ

Wednesday, July 9th, 2014

Article source: POP-ARQ

The house is part of a typical Buenos Aires condominium typology called “PH”. The houses are aligned in a very long and narrow lot, and connected through a corridor. In this case, the unit is located in the middle of the condominium with no direct connection to the street, opening to its own patio. The lot area is quite small, measuring 7m by 6m.
