In Sikalias Pharmacy project, KDI CONTRACT was commissioned to unify the design of the existing 4-storey building that accommodates the pharmacy, in order to communicate to the public the commitment on scientific research and prevention and, at the same time, promote the specialized services provided.The projectproved particularly challenging, given a number of constraints related to the building’s existing structural conditions and the site’s surrounding constructions.
Nadja consists of two apartments on subsequent floors that were renovated and connected with a stair in the middle.The two levels are materialized as opposite spatial experiences. The lower level is a continuous, marine-like environment with big pieces of furniture anchoring the family’s communal activities like floating islands. Instead of the typical division of rooms for kitchen, dining, living and playing, spaces in Nadja are flexible and look towards each other.
This building was designed based on the relationship of man with the landscape and particularly the earth. The entrance from the street is created by two parallel walls which contain the staircase and “slice” the earth in order to guide you to the ground level of the house.
The 580sqm detached house is organized in the form of an L shape inside the oblong site and accommodates a four member family. The integration of the residence into a semi-urban environment is dealt with as a scenario of revelation and dissimulation between private, public and semi-public space; that is to say creating a fluidity of the limits between the living spaces and the public spaces of the building, without however underestimating the importance of privacy. The garden is the focal point of the residence.

An icon of Greek post-war modern architecture, the Doxiadis building, having decayed during the last 20 years, finally came back to life through its conversion into a residential building. This conversion raises crucial questions about the notions of memory, preservation, integration into natural and built environments and innovation inspired by the potential of existing spaces.

Located near Syntagma Square, the central square of Athens, adjacent to The Parliament House and at the foot of the Parthenon, this seven (7) storey building was built in the early 1960s and started life as an office building with retail showroom on the ground floor. The site was bought in its entirety and converted to a boutique hotel in response to the shortage of hotel rooms and the growing need for quality affordable holiday accommodation in central Athens.
The brief required interior architecture, interior design, interior decorating, styling and restoration capabilities.
A house of 250m2 for a young family in an almost rural area part of Athens Paiania, was designed in a plot of 500m2. As the first house that was going to be built in this new suburb, but not the last we had to consider future developments but start from an almost white paper. Nevertheless due to crisis new developments are not due to appear any time soon.
The newly designed restaurant, Pitulka Eatery by Triopton Architects in Victoria Athens, adds a modern touch to the area with a sensibility to materials, culture and lifestyle. Defined as the “ancient pie”, the word Pitulka is one of the first reports to a Greek pie, approximately 7000 years ago.
Thanopoulos supermarket is at the northern suburbs of Athens and is a family business that owns in the same area two more supermarkets, a bit smaller. It was always a high end supermarket brand with huge variety of sophisticated imported goods which are unlikely to be found in other supermarkets in Athens.
