The property is located at the north-eastern corner of a recently built single-family residential area to the south of Klagenfurt. The terrain slopes to the north. Meadows and fields border the property to the east and north.
The existing property and residence of postwar years was already rebuilt in the 90ies of the last century. Now it has been extended to an ensemble by an additional building. The open courtyard was completed and the existing garage partially built on. Special attention was paid to the completion of the structure and the employment of corresponding materials.
A particular challenge for the design was the narrow site and the aim not to affect the view of neighboring housing units. The various sights and the path of the sun had a big influence on the concept of the design.
The architect’s office heri & salli from Vienna designed in Burgenland/Austria on behalf of the façade design company “FOB-face of buildings” a new office building made of wood.
Though normally a place dedicated to “work”, from the beginning the concept of quality of life and leisure culture took a mayor part in the planning. The traditional aspect of “going to work” therefore has received minor consideration.
The construction of small apartments that are relatively inexpensive yet still high quality is currently one of the most essential challenges in housing construction.

The musical society of zwettl was founded in the year 1887. its hitherto existing rehearsal space in the attic storey of the municipal office did neither answer to the musical society’s supra-regional importance, nor to acoustic requirements. transferring the music society frees space in the existing building for the increasing number of administration tasks.

The Doninpark project was developed as an eight-story residential, office and retail building, located in the 22nd district in Vienna, directly behind the “Kagraner Platz” subway stop. In terms of urban planning, this location is characterized be enormous leaps in scale: to the east lies a dense, urban area with extensive infrastructure, while the area to the west has a more suburban feel, with numerous single-family and multi-family dwellings and sports fields.
The building is located in Vienna’s sensitive and historic city center thus the design required a considerate adaptation to the adjacent historical buildings.
Jan Ammundsen, Architect, Partner and responsible for the design says: ‘We have created a building that in terms of its volume ,materiality and color scheme elements fit into the historic surroundings but through an expressive design with its curved façade the building has its own identity and creates an urban space for city life.’
The three-section sports hall of BG/BORG Graz Liebenau – called BLUE BOX –should be seen asan additional modulewithin the whole complex of the existing sports and school building, which functions, however, as a free-standing building as a result of the strongidentity-forming effect of itsexternal appearance.

The site is located between Messegelände and „Wurstelprater“, close to Vienna University Of Economics and Buisness and public park Prater, therefore optimal position with high recreational value.
Two-floor entrance lobby with common rooms on ground floor has broad glazing openings and is shown on facade, so in that way lobby is opened towards central forecourt. On the client´s request all rooms were designed the same so consequently punctuated facade was developed with the pattern derived from the windows of the rooms.
