Article source: kleboth lindinger dollnig

The site with its distinct longitudinal form completes the building development of the village and marks a direct transition to the adjacent nature reserve. Without doing that the usual way by setting up a fence.

Under the pitched roof, required by the authorities, all functions are strung together: storage, carport, wardrobe, sauna, hall and the actual house itself. Prefabricated walls of exposed concrete hold up the roof, the wooden house was constructed underneath it.

In the competition for skilled labour the environment of the workplace is gaining more and more importance today. Entrepreneurs therefore tend to focus on urban factors concerning the choice of location, but also increasingly on creating beautifully designed workplaces. Sophisticated architecture becomes a competitive advantage in the labour market and turns out to be a major factor in the recruitment and motivation of the employees of a company.

Fronius in Wels, Austria by PAUAT Architects

Saturday, August 10th, 2013

Article source: PAUAT Architects

Located near the railway station in the centre of Wels, although different in function and appearance, it relates to its context in scale and volume, as well as in its position and relation to the district and street. Old and new building structures complement each other and react in shape and context in a dialogue with the urban structure. The new building adapts itself in the space restricted by the predefined structures, reacts to existing building lines and defines with the Aktiv Energy Tower a new qualified urban corner at Bahnhofstrasse.

PAPPAS HEADQUARTERS/ MERCEDES SALZBURG
BRIEF Car dealership with a garage and showroom | ADDED VALUE In order to arrange the spatial program on this limited lot, all the functions are piled on top of one another, linked by navigable ramps and united under one roof. The vertical reorganization of a car dealership typology provides many advantages over conventional horizontally-organized car dealerships: via the ramps, the client can drive directly to either the garage or the salesroom where the cars are presented to the outside without reflective glass.

Alfenz Bridge in Montafon, Austria by Marte Marte Architects

Alfenz Bridge

The entry to the Montafon Valley is a topographical bottleneck. The railway, the federal highway and the new cycling path offer access to the southernmost valley of Vorarlberg, which is surrounded by high Alpine mountain ranges. Running parallel with the valley, the raging Ill River, prone to flooding, crosses the Alfenz River from the east and channels the Alfenz River into its current. A few meters before the confluence, the new concrete bridge structure spans the tributary and grants pedestrians and cyclists safe passage.
