Twisting courtyard is located in Paizihutong, Dashilar Area, Beijing. It used to be a Siheyuan with one single entry. The purpose of the improvement is to upgrade the necessary infrastructure needed for modern life, thus turning this traditional courtyard, which mainly serve as a residence, into an attractive public space of Beijing Inner City.

Lucky Kabob Bar 2.0 in Beijing, China by Robot 3 Studio

The design of White Metal Hut-LUCKY Kabob Bar has been completed in 2016. Then in 2017, the owner of the kabob bar commissioned the expansion work to Robot 3.

The invisible wall made up of power and wealth divides Beijing into pieces of fixed territories, some of which are inaccessible for majority of people in their whole life. Each territory has a stable hierarchical structure and complicated codes. Design is the way to overcome the obstacles and crack the code.

Poly WeDo is a new children’s education brand of Poly Culture Group, which aims at exploring and developing kids’ gift and potentiality in music, and improving their comprehensive art accomplishment. ARCHSTUDIO is invited to do the design for their teaching space within Yongli International Shopping Centre in Workers’ Stadium North Road, Beijing. The top issue to be solved while doing the design thinking is how to create an open, free and flexible modern teaching environment which breaks the limits of rigid structure and creates a feeling of closeness between children and the space.

Hongkun Art Auditorium in Beijing, China by Penda architecture & design

Penda creates an “escheresque” space with arches, steps and mirrors for an art auditorium in the centre of Beijing.

Penda recently finished a Project for an Art Auditorium on the Southern 3rd Road in Beijing. The venue is located at Xi Da Wang Lu, an upcoming cultural area with Galleries and Museums in its neighbourhood. Next to it Art Auditorium, penda completed the “Hongkun Museum of Fine Arts” in 2013.

New Yuppies – InterContinental in Sanlitun, Beijing by CCD/ Cheng Chung Design (HK)

The design concept of the hotel was inspired by the hexagonal diamond element in the building facade. Through the analysis of the formation of diamond, which is made from constantly refining of rough stone; the design adopted the cutting and luster characteristics of diamond to shape the space. This concept is throughout the architectural plan layout and every elevation detail. Each detail is a story; a stylish and avant-garde space scene is created by the atmosphere of lighting, stylish furniture and exquisite artworks.

The “Jiaming Maple Park” ensemble in Beijing has been completed to a design by architects von Gerkan, Marg and Partners (gmp). The practice had been commissioned with the project by the client, Jiaming Investment. The new office ensemble, which has achieved LEED Platinum certification, comprises three compact volumes. The functional layout is based on a sustainable concept with flexibly divisible office zones that can be operated independently.

Construction of Leeza Soho, a 46-storey (207m) mixed-use tower with the world’s tallest atrium, has reached level 20.

Within the Lize Financial Business District – a new business, residential and transport hub adjacent to Financial Road in southwest Beijing – Leeza Soho is located at the intersection of Lines 14 and 16 currently under-construction for the Beijing Subway rail network. Directly above the new interchange station, Leeza Soho connects with the city’s bus network on Lize Road to the north and Lou Tuo Wan East Road to the east.
