This project, located in the new Berge du Lac area in Bordeaux, includes four collective buildings and ten individual houses which form a block.
The dark shades and unbalanced silhouettes of the three tallest structures echo the tramway. On the other side, the individual houses and a building, covered in wood, are erected along the side of a linear park. Each of these architectural choices responds to the particular circumstances of these buildings.
In scale with the neighbourhood, our proposal fits in with a general policy of creating closed blocks with buildings running continuously alongside the roads and featuring huge private central areas. The guidelines and recommendations thus fixed are clearly consistent with the idea of creating streets and lead to the conception of buildings which fit in with this project. This kind of urban development makes it possible to phase out the building work and the demolition work, both characteristic of this sort of project, in a coherent fashion.
The project involves the construction of 66 flats in a collective house in Bordeaux. The project is divided into two buildings : The first is located on the borderline with the Avenue Emile Counord. This building is marked by the game between the screens glazed colorated in green and the boxes in white aluminium which animate the façade on street.
The « Clos des Sablières » is formed of two buildings with the same architectural style :
– The ground floor is dressed railing tube, protecting locals and housings.
– At the first and the second floor, wood panels mask corridors, which allow access to housings. This system is a light filter, and lights common areas.
-At the third floor, there is, alternatively colored or natural, the glass offers a view on the urban environment.Housings have a double exposition, opened on the loggias and on the corridors.
The project involves the construction of 12 townhouses in Bordeaux. It is at the end of a narrow street, near the banks of the Garonne.
The houses are divided into two buildings. This allows both to sequenced the facade on the street and leave the possibility of having an access to the rear plots in anticipation of their future development.
The houses have each an individual entry and two parking spaces in the building. On the ground floor of all dwellings, are the parking, pantry and entrance. The other levels are organized in floor night (bedrooms, bathrooms) and floor of life (living room and kitchen).
