House designed for couple with 2 small daughters. Compact and functional house, with optimization and integration of internal and external spaces, integration with landscaping and natural lighting effects. To intelligently optimize the deployment in a compact terrain, the project takes advantage of the legislation that allows to lean the construction on the sides of the lot. On the right side of the lot, two panels marked with cement flooring create a support element for the upper block of the dorms that open to the front and to the bottom of the lot through large sliding panels in cumulated wood. Under this block the living and dining rooms open fully to the lush jabuticabeira Sabará, who reigns in the back garden and named the house.

Article source: Studio AFS

Two unified plots in private condominium. A place with visuals and natural landscapes that contrast with the chaotic city life. With these features, and a stripped lifestyle, was proposed a design that brings nature into the interior of the residence and provides the freedom the family desired.

Natural materials, as rocks and wood, allied to apparent bricks and concrete brought the construction to the outdoor nature and garden. The great glazed plans allow the entrance of natural light and the feeling of the social areas to be a large internal balcony to the house. Correct solar orientation has made it possible to explore this interior/exterior integration to the fullest.

Pindaibeiras Residence in Brazil by Pablo Lanza Arquitetura + André Scarpa

The large terrain with privileged views allowed the residence to be developed on a single floor. Only the master bedroom swings over the slope toward the adjacent lake. The façade for the street is composed of low horizontal volumes, accommodated according to the shape of the terrain. The large side of the rooms block is lined with a cumaru muxarabi that filters the light while ensuring privacy. The main access is through the social block, where the large space is organized by a wooden storage. The living space opens onto a large balcony which frankly connects with the kitchen. The more private TV room promotes the articulation between the social area and the dormitories, where a unique curupixá volume integrates wardrobes and bedroom doors, forming a corridor that also opens to the outside. The service areas and the caretaker’s residence guarantee privacy by being situated next to the only adjacent neighbor.
