The business, which was baptized of ‘Confraria Kero Food Truck’, has grown to the point that the partners decided to expand it. The idea was to offer the customers a permanent address and more physical space. The decision between keeping or not the words ‘food truck’ in the name of the business, turned out to be the main motivation and inspiration for the design concept of this project. Adjacent to the listed and restored railway depot warehouses known as “Galpões da Gamboa”. The buildings evolve around open courtyard gardens exposing the heritage warehouses and offering a mix of offices and shop units at ground level, all in pursue of an urban sense of human scale that respects the urban context and inspired the design.
