For this 43,500 SF, ground-up project, BIG proposes a unique form derived from the building’s basic requirements, where individual volumes contain specific elements of program.

POTS has been serving people in need by providing food, clothing, counseling and other supportive services in a low income neighborhood in the Bronx. What began as a soup kitchen grew into a holistic, full service community facility, addressing every aspect of life’s needs to those who need a helping hand.

Located at 700 and 704 Brook Avenue at East 156th Street in the Melrose section of the Bronx, Via Verde is a 20 story, 222-unit green workforce housing development built to promote healthy living. The building is comprised of 71 cooperative and 151 rental homes.
