2LH House in Buenos Aires, Argentina by Arch. Luciano Kruk

Wednesday, September 6th, 2017

Article source: Arch. Luciano Kruk

After carrying out some market research on the middle classes’ housing needs in the Northern Greater Buenos Aires area, our client, a medium sized building company, learnt how scarce commercial offer of high constructive and architectural quality houses is as opposed to how greater the demand for it. In view of these results, they decided to have a replicable housing prototype designed for them by our Studio: 2HL House.

HOUSE IN THE DUNE in Buenos Aires, Argentina by Luciano Kruk

Wednesday, July 19th, 2017

Article source: Luciano Kruk

The House in the Dune is located in The Coast Disctrict, in a seaside neighborhood 13 km north of the city of Pinamar and four hours away from Buenos Aires.

Lying on a curved cul-de-sac, the site is a trapezoid with its widest side at the back. Originally, even though it lacked tree vegetation (particularly pines, which are typical in The Coast District), the land seemed impenetrable, completely covered as it was with acacias.

Casas Neptuno in Buenos Aires, Argentina by Estudio Galera Arquitectura

Wednesday, July 19th, 2017

Article source: Estudio Galera Arquitectura

In a small flat lot and without vegetation, four similar rental homes have been designed. A common path connects the street with the entrance to each house and concrete benches are placed creating a common space, a place for relaxation. To the west, the barbecue area and decks are located. These houses provide maximum natural light due to the use of floor to ceiling openings and as a result, the reflection of light can reach every corner of the houses. Cross ventilation to cool the rooms minimizes the use of air conditioners.

The place

Costa Esmeralda is a private venture on the dunes of the coast of Buenos Aires, 390 km from the city of Buenos Aires. This is a recent development with a young acacia and pine trees afforestation with a few consolidated forest sectors.

The lot to intervene is located in a dune with a gentle slope to the street and a greater slope towards the bottom. This area also has an abundance of trees of young maritime pines. So that, if the vegetation is preserved, anything built in the rest of the lot will be exposed to intense sun and coastal winds.

Impala House in Buenos Aires, Argentina by Estudio Galera Arquitectura

Friday, April 14th, 2017

Article source: Estudio Galera Arquitectura

Impala House is a box, a big container, built in the forest of Cariló, in front of a forest reserve. The residence indirectly touches the terrain with a plinth that nestles the services.

The lot, which presents a strong transversal change of level, inspired a spacious public plan that takes full advantage of the terrain. From the top of it, the landscape dominates the views and then melts away with the lot in the solarium/swimming pool.
