Wentz Headquartes Designed by Marina Miot

Designed by Marina Miot, a Brazilian architect from Rio Grande do Sul, the restoration project of an original industrial pavilion from the 1940s in the city of Caxias do Sul was conceived to house Wentz’s new headquarters.

The pre-existing architecture was preserved and the building’s original walls and frontages maintained. In the internal space, large white volumes and glass walls were created for better division, fluidity and full use of natural light, crossing the limits between external and internal, reducing excesses and connecting the space to the contemporary essence of the brand – silent, natural, simple and casual.

Bontempo in Caxias do Sul, Brazil by Tagir Fattori Arquitetura

This commercial building houses Caxias do Sul‘s Bontempo branch, a renowned furniture chain in Brasil. Located on a corner near Shopping Iguatemi and inserted in a mixed residential and commercial area, the building stands out for its contemporary architecture.

The project was based on the play of volumes and planes, contrasting its parts also by the colors employed. The building‘s access is demarcated by a large structural front balance, protecting the open hall and inviting the public in. In the inner space, the high ceilings create unique spatialities that value the products on display.

MADEC – Open Museum of Economic Development of Caxias do Sul is a cultural center allied to a business hub organized in the form of an open museum, which consists of five buildings connected to each other by universally accessible open paths that permeate the natural landscape of the CIC land, embracing and preserving the existing building.

The idea is that the project be represented from four economic forces, considered the basis for the development of the city of Caxias do Sul: AGRICULTURE + TRADE + INDUSTRY + SERVICES. These four forces will be present in the materiality and spatiality of the complex.

PH2 in Caxias do Sul, Brazil by TFA – TAGIR FATTORI ARQUITETURA

Located in Caxias do Sul, in the Serra Gaúcha, in the Montalcino condominium, the PH2 house and its 467.74m² stands on a plot of 594.56m². The lot has a slight slope in alignment with the sidewalk and a slope towards the back of the land. These two have already oriented a condition for the project in addition to the internal regulations of the condominium.

The gap between the alignment and the bottom of the land is about 3.5 meters. North solar orientation is at the bottom of the land, very important in a city with few sunny days, extreme variation in humidity, many days covered by clouds and very significant rainy days.
