Completed in 2022, Aedas-designed Chongqing Gaoke Group Ltd Office Project utilises a simple elegant form. It is derived from the northern light, which creates the twisting shape of the 180m tall tower to form expressive double-curved surfaces on the building façades. Vertical lines accentuate the minimalistic form and through the effect of reflection and refraction from the glass create a design statement that celebrates light as the major tool to define architecture.
Stands at the north of Xingfu Plaza, the project is located in Jiangbei District of Chongqing. The surrounding environment has already been developed in a spacious plot, and one big challenge for the designer is to interpret planning concept of “solar”, into an iconic landmark well-integrated in the existing community context.
The spatial aesthetics of the same brand is expressed in a differentiated way.
Various Associates designed another new concept store for the pioneering multi-brand fashion supplier SND. As a promoter of new shopping concept, SND takes an independent road off the beaten track, rather than going with the flow. Its brick-and-mortar stores bring avant-garde design that is not defined by common standards, showcase clothes in an artistic manner, and inject fresh vitality into the retail sector.

Chongqing, a 4D magical city, mountains can always bring new imagination and surprises to the space. Chongqing Liangjiang New District Comprehensive Command Center, this office building of less than 3,000 square meters, a paradise-like mountain environment, three private landscape courtyards with different personalities, and a seven-level full-view large terrace, each of which is extremely scarce. All are cleverly integrated in an office space, which is an explosion of imagination.
The approach of this project was investigative. We are trying to rebuild the the Chongqing neighborhood scene of the 1990s by not only the past way of architectural appearance but also of human behaviors in it. It is necessary to take observations and make assumptions about how the spacial connection and privacy levels influence the human relationships.
The iconic skyscraper hotel InterContinental Chongqing Raffles City, located on the Chaotianmen Square, was opened on August 1st, 2020. CL3 Architects Limited is honored to be the interior design team for Raffles City Chongqing, a grand mixed-use project for Chongqing, China. Following the success of Marina Bay Sands in Singapore, the same architect, Moshe Safdie, together with Singapore’s CapitaLand, invited CL3 to join them in creating this iconic Landmark.

Emerging design practice WallaceLiu has completed the Chongqing Industrial Museum, which has been created amongst the remaining structures of a former steel factory. The new 7,500 sqm museum is part of a larger redevelopment of the old factory site and was designed to recognise the national significance of the steelworks cultural, social and industrial history.
HOTEL STONE 9 pays attention to interaction and entertainment, the primary target is the young tourist born in 1990s and 2000s. We hope Stone 9 could provide a better condition for communications and could be a lively and vivacious gathering place for young people.
In the original site plan, rooms connected by a closed, narrow corridor, and there is not any public area to use, that is definitely not the space form we were expecting. In order to create a more interesting hotel, we downsize the space of hotel rooms, that makes the narrow corridor to be more capacious and versatile. The hotel has a lobby bar center, and many other lounges distributing in every parts, so that the hotel’s public area looks more like a café shop or leisure club, hoping the guests would like to come out from the private room to spend time freely in the public area.

Sitting next to the third largest public urban park in the world, Chongqing Vanke Forest Park Sales Gallery is a retreat between the city and nature. Designed by LWK + PARTNERS, the gallery is a magical house hidden in nature, and a wood cabin among fir trees. At its initial opening, the building is the sales gallery of the residential project, but it will turn into a kindergarten for the community in the future.
Designed by LWK + PARTNERS, The LOOP is the sales gallery for Shun Shan Fu, a low-density residential development composed of various luxurious villas and houses. Conceived as a brilliant gem hovering on top of the magnificent landscape of Zhaomu Mountain, the gallery represents power and style but with a softer side that embraces the shapes of nature.
The LOOP features two showrooms linked by a crescent-shaped glass-bottomed bridge named The Skywalk, which is aesthetically pleasing and pragmatic in function. With the use of full steel frame structure and an onion-ring-like cladding system, the undulating forms of The LOOP echo and integrate with the dynamic contours of the site, while The Skywalk grants visitors an unobstructed view of the valley to admire the lush greeneries.
