As if a Cordoban flora oasis was, the ME TÓ DI CA clinic can be spotted from the end of two residential buildings avenues, like a forest of green reflections and warm light playing with pedestrians at the street level.
The façade is created with aluminium slats that form the abstract image of a Cordoban forest. This is achieved thanks to the treatment of every 20 x 40 mm slat’s edges, which makes them unique. Facing the street (20 mm exterior edge), slats are finished with green mirror material that, on the one hand, reflect cars and pedestrians passing through and the nearby trees’ leaves waving alongside the wind and, on the other hand, they dye the adjacent street pavement green as a result of reflecting the sunlight. Perpendicularly to the street (40 mm lateral edges), on their both sides, slats are finished with a printed vinyl forming the figurative image of a Cordoban forest in wide format.
A BIOCLIMATIC AND SUSTAINABLE home in VILLA PARQUE SIQUIMAN -CORDOBA
“a reflection on our landscapes and our ways of living, taken to a contemporary logic. We explore the cave as a basement and also the pier towards the lake, just as the house by day is a tree, by night it is a “
This weekend house is the result of an in-depth study on the current construction problems in our natural territory, and developed under the logic of LEED v4 sustainable housing certification.
The house is located on the end of a sloped neighborhood, on a place that borders a native forest; in contrast, the land where the house is located is flat, with no vegetation or gradients.
With soil extracted from the land itself, the house rises 1.30m high to pass the line of sight over the neighboring grove and take advantage of a better view of the landscape.
The house is located in a parcel in the middle of a block of 30 x 50 m. with moderate slope that descends to the street. The place is at the foot of Córdoba´s hills, in the city of Villa Allende.
The House is born and takes its level on the back of the field, allowing it to raise and create a ‘balcony’ for the contemplation of the landscape; which is characteristic and a typical view of Córdoba. Its dialogue with nature is very strong, because the spirit of the place is linked to “nature”.
“House in the hill” is a family house located in the town of Sinsacate, about 55 km away from the city of Cordoba.
It sits on the Camino Real, an old area for the exchange of horses and rest for travelers who were heading to Upper Peru in times of the Viceroyalty of the “Río de la Plata”. Over the years it began to be used by some families of Cordoba for their rest during the summer months.
The land where the house is implanted presents a natural elevation generating a podium where the house is placed in a sculptural way and they grant exceptional visuals from inside.
When the Quironsalud Group decided to embark upon a new hospital project in Cordoba, they selected Enero Arquitectura to carry it out. With more than 12 years of experience in healthcare design and construction, Enero completed the task under the highest quality standards, responding to the demand for a complex functional agenda.
The project was developed in 7400 m2 comprising of two levels and the basement of an already existing structure, our proposal was centered around the remodelling and refunctionalization of the different spaces of the future concessionary; accepting the challenge of, through wise design and election of materials, reflecting the spirit of Toyota's brand.
Concept
The essence of the project defines its spaces by means of guiding axis, a great wall coated in ACM. The lights' apertures in the ceiling, together with the lines of light of the wall, both bring dynamism and create tension in the space, marking the road to the brand's future goals.
This time the challenge was to create a house, very bold clients showed up and proposed a different objective. A house to enjoy, relax and feel relaxed, “in the countryside”. The natural situation of the land and its vegetation were decisive for the geometry and the answers to the premises. Routes, sectors of visuals, noble materials, elevations, connectivity, visual continuity, the inn, the tower, relaxing situations, were several of the design searches. The architectural tour begins at the bridge to enter the work, we walk along the walkway that adapts to the situation of height of the land at its beginning to enter the house on the top floor. The “social tower” to be, cook, invite, eat, enjoy, is a pure volume of concrete, metal and wood. Horizontal and vertical connective spaces make up the circulations. It is located in the center of the field articulating the other sectors. “The posada” with its rooms, is a perfect space for rest, breaking through the trees rises from the natural soil to create a special situation of interaction between the bedrooms, its gallery and the green of the land. The pool that is in relation to these two bodies, is finally surrounded by the “bar” of the bottom that is at the same time a container of ship, forming the final milestone of the route of the house. The final composition of the volumes shows a relaxed house, decompressed between its areas but compact and dynamic in each of the sectors.
The clubhouse is located at Estancia La Paz, an icon Argentina’s historic 19th century architecture, and one of the country’s main political and social scenarios. Its owner was then President Julio Argentino Roca.
Once on the site, at the end of the golf course’s 18th hole, what most struck us were the piles of cracked and neatly arranged logs. We discovered that these had been silent witnesses of the Estancia’s history, planted more than 100 years ago.
“I’m going to make you a house in the air, so that you live, as that house has no foundations, it has the system that I invented … and if it does not fly, it does not rise, it will not reach there” .. Rafael Escalona-escritor
In the northwest area of the extensive periphery of the city of Córdoba, there is the San Martin natural reserve, around which a series of closed neighborhoods have grown in recent years. In one of these neighborhoods, the studio carried out this house for a family of 5 members. Being away from the center of the city, the program requested by the family included areas of study and work for parents and children, as well as areas of common use that support an intense social life.
