Creative office space in Croatia by brigada

Thursday, September 12th, 2013

Article source: brigada

For several years, Croatia’s leading advertising agency Bruketa&Žinic OM has occupied offices in a former toilet paper factory, but the space has never been fully adapted to accommodate the agency’s needs. We were invited to redesign and expand the agency’s office, transforming it into a modern, contemporary creative space that embodies agency values and encourages creativity. Due to the current economic situation, the office remodel required logical and cost-effective solutions to sumptuous ideas.

Sunday, July 21st, 2013

Article source: STUDIO ZA ARHITEKTURU

Contemporary thought arises in the process of balancing the complete freedom and absolute control of precise perceptions (exact analysis) with the free play of the imagination. It tries to encompass all the stories, to include all (possible) contrasts and contradictions in order to emphasize the true story that excites and interprets possible events.

Hybrid Badel Block in Zagreb, Croatia by Proj3ct And Spaceworkers

Sunday, April 21st, 2013

Article source: Proj3ct And Spaceworkers

PROJ3CT and SPACEWORKERS joined the Badel Block Competition in 2012 for an urban renewal  located in the city center of Zagreb, Croatia. Our proposal “Hybrid Badel Block” was strongly built on the high-density needs stated on the competition guideline. Nevertheless, it was located on a well-sustained urban environment where the high-rise theme was under tough regulation and it’s possibility was highly depreciated by the inhabitants. Also, it was due to incorporate a wide variety of social and private functions and typologies of use.

Kula Skrivanat in Pag, Croatia by Quixotic Architecture

Wednesday, March 20th, 2013

Article source: Quixotic Architecture

The urban plan of the current city of Pag was developed in Venice by the Croatian architect Juraj Dalmatinac aka Giorgio da Sebenico and it is a correlation between Roman Castrum and Venetian Town Planning principles, organized as an orthogonal grid of streets and squares forming at the centre – Trg Petra Kresimira IV, with the Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the Duke’s and the Bishop’s Palaces. The construction works lasted between 1443 – 1474 and was also supervised by Juraj Dalmatinac. Kula (Tower) Skrivanat is one of nine original towers of this XV century walled city. It was the most efficient structure to protect north-west end of the town from a hostile environment. Currently Kula Skrivanat is an empty relic of a medieval defense system.
