House J2 in Zagreb, Croatia by 3LHD

Friday, October 12th, 2012

Article source: 3LHD

The family house for a young couple with children is located in the green residential part of the city of Zagreb. The former family house was built in the 1950s on a steep hill slope and did not fully use all the advantages of the site nor did it meet the requirements of contemporary living standards. The beautiful view to the city and large garden was not valued appropriately.

Friday, October 12th, 2012

Article source: 3LHD

Pantovčak, one of Zagreb’s most prestigious streets, which rests below the gaze of Sljeme, has been lined with freestanding family houses for decades. With its sculpted gardens and comfortable spaces between buildings, it exudes all of the admirable qualities of a pleasantly livable urban residential drive.

House N is situated in a quieter secondary neighborhood on this street, perched in the western hills and boasting a delightful panoramic view of the forest and the city.

Saturday, January 14th, 2012

Article source: Randic Turato architects

Veli Vrh is a suburb in Pula with low density housing dominated by the school on top of the hill. In February 2008 the school caught on fire and burned down, creating an unusual void bordered with the pine trees in the middle of a typical suburban sprawl. This specific condition of emptiness was the basis for the design concept.
