The café is the core of NoD experimental culture space. Our goal was to refurbish the interior to attract daytime coffee shop visitors.
Our proposal is amplifying an early 20th century atmosphere whilst keeping the NoD signature; the pompous central bar under the floating Jiri David’s Golden bones sculpture and the elevated seating area. The original ornate molding is being continued with a new one which we cascade all around the hall. The smoked oak parquet, the white mosaic at the bar, and the traditional coffee shop chairs, accompanied by the brass elements, refers to the era of the foundation of the house.
Kersko. A well-known place, a “forest town” with a population of about 200, yet mysterious and ever-surprising. The plot is square, with sides of 100m. Two thirds of the original pine trees are still standing, and young oaks, birch trees and hornbeams have been added. A natural pond has become the focal point of the place and attracts forest creatures, both original and new. The house, a Finnish Honka log house, stands confidently but humbly amongst the trees by the water’s surface. It is hardly noticeable from the street. Its occupants imbibe the forest sounds and scents beneath the pine tree crowns.

The Shelter is an experimental wooden structure that was built on top of a former concrete bunker near to the borders of the Czech republic and Austria. These small fortresses were built along the Czechoslovakian borders before the WWII. as a protection against the Nazi Germany but they were never used. There are still thousands of these bunkers left in the Czech and Slovakian landscape.

The natural and the artificial mingle to become one in the new administrative centre of the Czech Forestry Commission
A project designed by a team under the direction of the Brno based studio Chybik+Kristof has recently won the international competition for the new administrative centre of the Czech Forestry Commission in Hradec Králové. The winning proposal is a two-storey building on the edge of an existing forest, that uses wood extensively as construction material – as requested within the competition. The concept is based on incorporating the forest landscape into a five-finger building to create new relations between the inside office and the outside forest landscape. A nature trail surrounding the building allows to explore the different forest ecotypes, designed by Tomas Babka and breathe.earth.collective.
The new-build sports hall adjoins the Dolní Břežany primary school. It can be used by the school for physical education classes, and is open to the public for sports activities and as a cultural venue. Well integrated with its surroundings and the public space, its modern look is an attraction and inspiration for the area. The sports surface is 45 × 25 meters, and the grandstand provides seating for 250 spectators.
The chocolate bar is situated in a pleasant part at Prague 6 Vokovice with good access to the subway station ,,A’’ Bořislavka and directly on the opposite side of the elementary school at ,,Na Dlouhém lánu” street. The exact address is ,,K lánu 496/2’’. Basically, this is not a standard cafe bar, but chocolate bar. Of course, you will find all the necessary services, that you are used to have in the cafe (delicious coffee, perfect breakfast and wine too). Everything is prepared directly in the preparation room at the bar. There was a minimarket in the area before, so it was a rather demanding reconstruction. A space had to to be re-appraised. The total space is 83.7m2, the main room itself has 66.7m2. In the background there are preparation room, staff base, men’s, ladies’ and handicap’s toilets.
Thanks to Kafe Francin, a café situated just across a tram stop on Strossmayerovo náměstí, the people waiting for a tram have a reason to postpone their departure. A neon sign on each of two large windows leaves no one in doubt about what’s happening inside. We bake and roast, you can read as they shine in day and night. The merge of these two activities is the main characteristics of the unusual place.
The apartment is located in a new renovated apartment building near Letna Square in Prague 7. We have modified the layout proposed by the developer to meet the requirements of a young couple.
The residential apartment with a small balcony has an area of 98 m2. Belonging to it is also a private parking spot with a parking machine.
This penthouse is technically separate object played on top of the apartment building.
Layout was designed in the shape of a cross which allows separation of different functional zones. There is a dining zone, living area, area with rooms for kids and sleeping area. In the middle of the layout is situated central core that connects the penthouse with staircase and elevator to the rest of the building.
The layout flows around the core that is in the interior accentuated by dark grey screed.
