With a typical 5×20 plot, location on a new planning area with have a rapidly rate. We are fortunately to work with an inventor who has a similarity to a personal living space, a young couple with hobby of gardening and the desire to create a space “go inside” combined with human elements, light and tree are the main.
The spatial structure opens and closer with many small intersections, interspersed with gaps that evoke surprise and unpredictability when moving inside the building. Combined with the effects of the light and shadow, the scene is changed fresh and not boring through each time of the day.
Q house is a small house, located in a suburb of Da Nang, Vietnam. With 100 square meters of land, the design was formed with the idea of a tropical house so it can suite well with the Mid-Vietnam weather conditions.

There is a really rustic, peaceful place in the heart of the bustling city, which is Coi House. A very specific and artistic architecture makes us fascinated at the first sight.
The house is located on Mac Dang Dung street, new urban area of Hoa Xuan, Cam Le , Da Nang. Take advantage of being near the river, the architect has refined the design of the doorways and skylights so that the house can always receive natural light and the cool breeze every day. Watch the rays of light glide through the small wind with a cup of coffee makes your day more meaningful than ever.
The apartment is located in urban area of Da Nang city of Vietnam. Housing typology in urban areas is getting more and more monotonous because of the plot sizes available. Most sites are rectangular with common walls and front connected to main road. Front side is the only source of light and ventilation making it challenging to design. Houses in rural Vietnam are planned around common spaces lile gardens, ponds, lakes where people connect together. In urban areas, due to lack of area there are less community spaces affecting the users and their connectivity with each other. As the structures started getting higher, maintaining connectivity between the users became difficult. The main concept of the structure was derived from terraced fields. The units are stacked on each other with stepped terraces which provides plenty of light to the apartment units. On the inner sides, atriums are provided so as to get natural light and air ventilation. Stepped terraces provide connectivity between the users and increase vertical interaction. There are small common spaces, gardens for users to gather and interact with each other. The material used for the construction is unburnt bricks which are environment friendly. Brick texture gives a sense of warmth and simple village life of Vietnam. The objective of this design is to combine nature and light to create natural and healthy living environment.

High density of construction, lack of natural light, stuffy space, and lack of connection are typical features of housing construction in Vietnam. These features are the old forms of the house that its owners used to live in. Something needs to be changed, this is the first idea that the owners and the Architect share.
From the Architects: Children from centuries in the past until now were born and raised in the countryside without many amenities and little money. These are now successful city dwellers. They are now modern but have not forgotten the images and feeling of cement rooves, the low brick walls, and the bamboo that permeates the village.
