Located on the green edge of Strijp-R in Eindhoven, Studioninedots designed family home Villa Fifty-Fifty as a pavilion where volumes alternate between open and closed, and where life happens just as much outdoors as indoors: a new typology for maximising visual and family interaction.
Fontys Hogeschool is investing heavily in a thorough overhaul of its campus in the heart of Eindhoven. In the coming years, the area will change from a fenced-off enclave with anonymous architecture into a knowledge landscape that is fully integrated into the city; an inviting and inspiring place where students, teachers and local companies work together on the sharing and development of knowledge. To boost this development with a powerful impulse right from the start, Ector Hoogstad Architecten designed the new R10 building as a forward-looking example of attractive and effective campus architecture. In other words: connective, flexible and extremely sustainable.
The new Frits Philips lyceum-mavo school in Eindhoven was officially opened for the students and, a founding father of the lighting company located in Eindhoven, is an example for the school who teachers. Frits Philips stood for: effort, ambition and involvement. Values that the school strives for today. Therefore the school has been named after him. This was also a design principle for LIAG architects.
Atlas, the renovated main building of Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e), is an award winning, smart and sustainable university building, which has officially been opened on the 21st of March 2019. By combining state-of-the-art materials with optimal reuse, the robust Atlas building dating from the sixties is transformed into a light and energy efficient university building by Team V Architecture, Van Rossum, Valstar Simonis and Peutz. It is now one of the most sustainable education buildings in the world.
Former power plant transformed into the multi-tenant Innovation Powerhouse. A transformation from a pure, brute, raw and heavy industrial complex – in size and volume completely unsuitable for office use – into a comfortable, breathing, spacious, fresh and young work environment.
Crielaers & Company has developed a state of the art office design for Tribes. It is inspired by the tribes that the famous photographer Jimmy Nelson visited. Tribes is a new, mobile office net-work for likeminded professionals, the so called Business No-mads. The present-day Business Nomads are more like a tribe on its own.
A group of like-minded professionals who want to work flexibly in an inspiring environment, and who can do it anywhere. Tribes will provide in the needs of this tribe and will function as a home base.
From 21 to 29 October 2017 the Dutch Design Week (DDW)—one of the most important design events in Northern Europe—took place in Eindhoven (NL). In 2017 DDW and Design City Eindhoven launched the first edition of the World Design Event (WDE), which provides a platform for future makers from all over the world. At the heart of the Dutch Design Week is its People’s Pavilion, which had been designed by bureau SLA & Overtreders W.
We were commissioned to design the fort keeper’s house back in 2009. Due to organisational changes, the project did not go ahead at the time. When the conversion of the fort was activated again in 2015, it seemed that our plan for the house had not been forgotten. We were asked to revive the original plans and develop them further.

Loftwonen is a special form of urban residence. The idea of Loftwonen is based on high rooms and flexible floor plans. Block 61, which was designed by architecten|en|en, is part of an urban composition of three housing blocks that are constructed in a similar manner. The housing blocks are located along the railway as an extension of the well-known Klokgebouw. The three buildings are separated from the railway by means of an oblong parking garage, which parallels the railway embankment.
