Apelle in Karjaa, Finland by Marco Casagrande

Sunday, May 5th, 2013

Article source: Marco Casagrande

Apelle is a wooden one family house located in Karjaa – Finland. The building rests in a natural harbor like a boat in a sheltering pocket surrounded by bed rocks and trees. The interior space of Apelle is a continuous tube that grows gradually along the house and through the main opening and terrace into the forest. Along this axis the collective and private actions are tuned according to the times, functions and needs of the day and night.

Article source: Prokofyev-Archigroup

At the crossing of the transport routes in the cities, where there is constant presence of people and their movement, there is formed certain public space, which has its own especial atmosphere. Usually, stations in any country of the world, in any city, both bus and railway, arouse people’s typical formed stereotypes. And what if they are all identical? Same dowel, same rails and typical bulkheads over them. That is why each station should have its own unique appearance, its own atmosphere.

Renovation & Interior Design of a stylish apartment in Turku, Finland by Maurizio Giovannoni

Tuesday, August 7th, 2012

Article source: Maurizio Giovannoni

The apartment is a little penthouse (about 65 mq.) in Turku, Southern Finland. Before renovation, walls and doors blocked the passage of light, and the most beautiful view of the historical sites of Turku was on the bedroom side. My principal goal in this project was letting the light flow in and creating a relaxing living room where my customer could do his creative work.
