The new head office for SFR will bring together some 8500 staff who are currently dispersed between 4 sites in the Paris area. The project is conceived as a campus, with offices, a conference centre, restaurants, a sports hall and fitness centre and numerous gardens.
The new 130,000 sq m SFR headquarters in the Landy-Pleyel ZAC (mixed development zone) boasts nearly 8,500 employee workstations.
This project has the ambition of becoming a new model for media libraries. The programme calls the functions of a media library into question, lending it the content of a ‘third place’ – a place where members of the public become actors in their own condition, a place for creation as well as reception. In association with the basic programme, the building includes areas for displays, creation, music studios, and a café-restaurant. To give meaning to this new programme, it seemed necessary to question the way in which a place of this kind is produced. The various activities in the programme blend into each other, creating a dynamic arrangement. The spatial principle is based on a non-hierarchical superposition of different systems.

The Ecole Nationale Superieure d’Art, an art school in Nancy, forms the northern end of the new university campus ARTEM (ARt, TEchnology, Management), the largest new university complex in France, and occupies a central position between the city and the new campus premises. It accommodates all the facilities needed for the three educational fields of art, design and communication, such as studios, workshops and lecture halls, including the administration and spacious exhibition areas. Dietrich | Untertrifaller Architekten and Zoméno Architects won the competition in November 2010.
The Jean Monnet secondary school for around 600 students lies north of Broons, a 3000-resident town in Brittany, and is considered one of the most important educational facilities in the region.
The design by Dietrich | Untertrifaller Architekten and the French firm CDA (Colas Durand Architectes) reflects the concept of a modern school. Light wood, robust exposed concrete, a fresh red color and lots of glass characterize the warm, open atmosphere of the interior. The natural and untreated materials also pay tribute to local building traditions. The reinforced concrete design of the ground floor features a Breton stone facade, while the two-story classroom section in a mixed timber and concrete construction is covered with strips of wood. The clear and structured spatial organization facilitates an ideal workflow.
Just like the sport itself, structures built for sports are always signifiers of identity. Especially in such provincial communities as Longvic in the south of Dijon, sports clubs play an important role in social life. Here the architecture of sports facilities can contribute to the self-image of the community. Named after the French hand baller Véronique Pecqueux-Rolland, the new sports hall offers ideal training and tournament conditions to the teams of the regional handball and martial arts leagues as well as to popular sports teams and various schools.
Inessa Hansch worked on the project redevelopment of the public spaces and urban furniture of the point of the presqu’île de Caen (peninsula of Caen), where the Alexis-de-Tocqueville library, designed by OMA, has just been inaugurated. In conjunction with this project she also delivered a new space dedicated to boating activities.
Encircled by the Saint-Pierre basin, the maritime canal and the Victor-Hugo channel, the future Palais de Justice and the Alexis-de-Tocqueville library stand on the 11 hectares of a former wasteland at the far end of the Caen Peninsula.
Located on the Landes de Juzan campus in Anglet, the Activity Generator proposed by the Côte-Basque-Adour Agglomeration is a place where innovative young companies can be found, encouraging interdisciplinary cross-fertilization between academic research and industrial knowledge.
This business hotel is set in an urban wasteland, open on a wood and a protected estey in the heart of the Basque coast Adour. The building is a reflection of the dialogue between this landscaped site and the program.
Meeting point between the high mountains of the Pyrenees and the Landes forest, the southern coast of Anglet combines exceptional geography in a premium urban situation.
It is the true gateway to the city from its chic neighbor Biarritz.
This project is part of the scheme to reconsider urban identity in the Centre Urbain, the new neighbourhood that is the emblem of the future Evry. Rows, set back buildings, an interplay of terraces, and “urban windows” create an openness towards the heart of the small island.
Future heart and social area of the Marne-la-Vallée university campus, the new central library has the significant advantage of being located on an outstanding site: the Ferme de la Haute Maison. Dating from the 17th century, this \”historic\” site endows the building with a strategic role. Its identity does not just stem from the quality of the constructions: the surrounding moat, which extends into a water garden, and the central courtyard which becomes the main parvis, are two federating components of this site, generating a special emotion.
