The property at Frankfurter Tor is located in an exposed location in the Friedrichshain district in the middle of a residential and business district with typical Berlin apartment buildings. It also borders on the listed building ensemble designed by architect Hermann Henselmann along the Karl-Marx-Allee / Frankfurter Allee. The apartment ensemble with student apartments and micro apartments comprises a total of 567 apartment units with 485 student apartments and 82 micro apartments, with an attractively designed courtyard.

Zalando in Friedrichshain, Germany by Bruzkus Batek Architekten Partnerschaft

Based in the old Knorr Braking Systems factory, Friedrichshain – a protected historical site, is one of three of the online retailer Zalando’s locations in Berlin, employing around 2000 people. Bruzkus Batek architects have designed and conceptualised a multi-use “fashion hub” at the site, including a modern, fully featured canteen and terrace onto the interior courtyard.

WDG Apartment renovation in Friedrichshain, Berlin by RARE Office, Architekturbüro

Located in Friedrichshain, the building is an “Altbau” (pre-WWII residential building).

As many of the Berliner buildings in the former East Berlin, it underwent the so called “emergency enovation” in the time from the WWII and right after the Fall of the Berlin Wall.
