The station concourse, with a rectangular section and a slight longitudinal curve, is situated 20 metres below ground. Walls and ceilings of the elongated, column-free hall are clad with large, backlit prefabricated glass blocks set into a framework of fair-faced precast concrete. This gives the station concourse a bright and spacious feel. Extreme repetition of one and the same motif makes its actual dimensions almost intangible for passengers.
The Town Hall, built 1726-30, is a symbol of Schorndorf (population 38,000), a stand-alone structure which dominates the town’s market square. For the initial conversion stage the upper floors were renovated in line with energy efficiency and listed building requirements.
UNStudio’s design for the Baumkirchen Mitte in Munich has been selected as the winning entry from a shortlist of 6 finalists which included, among others, BIG Architects, Juergen Mayer H Architects and Schneider + Schumacher Architects.
UNStudio worked in collaboration with OR else Landscapes on the design for the18,500m2 residential and office complex located in the east of Munich. With its 60 metre high tower the project will become the focal point for the entrance to the new Baumkirchen Mitte development.

The museum is one of the most important mining museums and one of the most popular museums in Germany. The current museum draws around 400.000 visitors annually to its 12.000 square metres of exhibition space.
One of Foster and Partners most ecologically advanced buildings, the new Library for the Faculty of Philology, was opened today at the Free University, Berlin. The library is the culmination of decades of research and experimentation by the studio on how buildings can utilise passive and active technologies to radically increase energy efficiency and reduce the impact on the environment.

In between city and airport in the north of Hamburg an existing industrial building complex has been transformed into a think centre for emerging creative companies. The existing site with the courtyard and nearby park has gained a new cubature. Main task of the project was the revitalisation of the old industrial spaces to create a symbiosis between old and new under ecological aspects.
The design for the tension band bridge was developed in cooperation of ANNABAU (architects) and Schüßler-Plan (structural engineers) in the context of a competition for the „Landesgartenschau Tirschenreuth 2013“ (Garden Festival Upper Palatinate, Bavaria, Germany) and was selected for implementation.
