The CloudLand Tourist Service Center is located in Cloud Garden, a community park in the Science and Technology District in Nanshan, Shenzhen. Adjacent to the surrounding high-rise office buildings, the CloudLand extends itself horizontally into a linear set of open spaces that provide various leisure services for visitors and locals.
In the beginning, the architect was invited to design a pavilion for visitors based on the new landscape planning of the park. Due to the tight project schedule, the steel-structure framework was used to shorten the on-site construction procedure. As a result, the project was opened to the public eight months after the initial commission.

‘Primary and secondary schools for education towards sustainable development.’
This is a project to build a new public primary and secondary school for children aged 7 to 15 in Luohu District, Shenzhen, China.
The themes of the new schools were what the ‘future’ should look like for children and how they should learn for the ‘future’. In order to achieve a sustainable society, education for sustainable development (ESD) has been a focus in education in recent years. ESD requires learning that encourages deep learning in a proactive and interactive way about contemporary society and one’s own problems, and the use of high-tech is not the only ‘future’, but awareness of low-tech and environmental issues can lead to a sustainable society. In this project, the place to learn about this is considered to be the ‘School of the Future’, and based on the design concept of a ‘diverse learning place with nature and communication at its core’, the following methods were used to achieve a school that encourages independent thinking and learning among the students.
The building is located in Shuangyue Bay Central Park, Pinghai Town, Huizhou City, Guangdong Province, China. The park is between the ancient town of Pinghai and the sea, not far from the famous Shuangyue Bay Turtle Reserve. The overall terrain of the park is high in the north and low in the south, with hills and valleys in the north and the sea in the south. The project base is close to the center of the park and is an independent and prominent “peninsula shaped” hill. The trend of the hill is from northeast to southwest, so the view in the north is dominated by hills and valleys, and the view in the south is 270 degrees of excellent sea view. The hills in the park are soft in shape and not magnificent, but there are a number of boulders, which provide an important support for the shaping of the landscape.
Foshan Vanke Yiduhui (current name: Vanke Creative Commune) is a group of riverside buildings located in Guicheng Street, Nanhai District, Foshan. It integrates apartments and commerce, and is committed to creating a fashionable and vibrant community for young people. The land area of the project is 13,986 square meters, the total construction area is 78937 square meters, the plot ratio is 4.5, and the base area is 5590 square meters. The creative office building area is 24,240 square meters, the apartment building area is 33,060 square meters, and the commercial building area is 5,637 square meters. The design arranges the super high-rise along Foping Road, and the two high-rise towers form a group layout to strengthen the iconic city image and give the apartment a good view of the landscape and living experience. The project needs to maximize the design quality under strict cost control.
The Hanshanglou project locates at the Phoenix island of Xiangqiao District in Guangdong, Chaozhou, where the island is one of the eight natural landscapes in the ancient Chaozhou city embraced by quiet elegance and pleasant climate. Taking into consideration the natural scenery of the island, the designer successfully integrates the unique food culture of Chaoshan people with spatial designs, creating a dining space with a perfect combination of color, aroma, taste and appearance.
The project team abandons redundant decorations and furniture, and uses concise spatial lines to make the space the most natural and simple state, bringing people, objects, and spaces closer together, aiming to create a relaxing and comfortable resting place for residents.
Created by the design team, there are not only compatible and comfortable meeting spaces and dining and kitchen spaces, but also a bay window reading area, a master room with bathroom, fun children’s space, walk-in cloakroom and other new urban family lifestyles.
Wutopia Lab proposed an Aluminum Mt in Mt. Luofu, Canton. It served as a Traditional Chinese Medicine Health Industrial Park Exhibition Center of Ping An Real Estate and Guangzhou Fangyuan Group.
The project “AROMA DREAM” is an enchanting place for Thai message and spa. John Sun, the principal of DDDD Creative Studio, approached the design in a way quite different from the previous commercial projects. Based on the community-based real economy model in China's first-tier cities, the designer focused more on incorporating the community’s humanistic environment into spatial experience, and tried to let customers enjoy traditional Thai massage in an unconventional Thai massage space.
The project is located in Shekou area, Shenzhen, China, where business and community coexist. The pace of life in Shenzhen, the young city, is really fast. In contrast with the surrounding noisy community, AROMA DREAM keeps a low profile. After opening a dark-green door beside the street, the interior light instantly adjusts to a comfortable brightness for eyes, fragrance of lemon grass overwhelms noses, and the patter of rain and soft classical violin music run into ears, making the customers feel like they are traversing the jungle and entering an ancient rainforest.
The construction area of this project is about 90 square meters. Fashion is an eternal topic, and it is also a manifestation of characteristic. Coco Chanel said, “In order to be irreplaceable, one must always be different.” Through a new understanding of fashion, the designers used the principle of “less is more” to interpret a different kind of fashion. The whole space is unified with concise, smooth and fluent lines running through the interior, bringing a refreshing and natural breath. The minimalist furniture reflects the wisdom of design and humanistic spirit everywhere. By thinking differently, the designers embedded a tea table into the sofa, and applied irregular cabinets which have graceful arcs. The storage design is another highlight, the cabinets of the living room, the bed of the study room and the TV wall of the bedroom and others are ingenious.

Most of the houses nearby are decorated in a luxurious style, while after communicating with the owner, the designers made a new attempt through an advanced and restrained design technique. With the origin of texture as the design concept, they tried to convey the owner’s desire for an original state of life by different textures, and let him return to a comfortable and natural living environment.
