Set in the dry and arid industrial context next to a busy state highway, the structure is a small and sole workspace of a young CEO at the threshold of his vast industrial estate. The proposed design is an attempt to represent the client’s aspiration to reach out to the world for his business expansion while marking his presence amongst his competitors. Key aspect here was to provide high standards of comfortable work environment to its main user and to his esteemed visitors.
The combination of natural simple materials and well – lit, ventilated spaces is the perfect recipe for a serene, beautiful home. This home proves that rustic charm can co-exist with sophisticated elegance. Employing exposed cement and brick, was the only requirement the couple insisted on, while the rest was left to our aesthetic sensibilities. Working to create the landscape, architecture and interiors, on the L-shaped land bearing a natural curve, allowed us to draw in a complete visual where nature could intertwine with the structure and interior of the house. The courtyards highlight and intersect the house, working as the natural source of ventilation and light, bringing the outside, inside.
This house is designed with prime focus with landscape. This is a first climate oriented house plan. It has a summer garden and a winter garden. Here the plan forms “Z”. Thus it creates two garden spaces on south side and north side, the south side garden is designed like a “forest ” to help tree plantations to create shadows on the building. This used of garden gets sun in morning till late evening, thus ideal to use in winter. Where north side garden has more lawn area, which has shadow of building in afternoon and evening. It gets good morning sun and than later part of a day is shaded. Thus it becomes summer garden to use in hot days.
