Organic Cafe in Hanoi, Vietnam by G8A Architecture & Urban Planning

Monday, March 2nd, 2020

Article source: G8A Architecture & Urban Planning

Density has always been a strong characteristic in the design problematic of Hanoi, historically horizontal condensation has been the phenomena and more recently a new vertical layer of construction has come to intensify the development of the capital. Contrasting the habitual trend of compacting built density, the Organic Café plays with architectural distinctions to propose a resilient microcosm within the urban context.

The Bridge Office Building in Hanoi, Vietnam by G8A Architecture & Urban Planning

Monday, August 12th, 2019

Article source: G8A Architecture & Urban Planning

The Bridge embodies a design solution responding to the context of the spatial and socio-economic landscape of urban Vietnam. Housing the teams of the several luxury brands that make up the OpenAsia Group, typologically located between warehouse and logistic service buildings, the structure will stand enigmatically in the middle of Old Hanoi.

The proposal envisioned the office building as a series of platforms lifted by two cores of concrete; one containing the circulation paths and main services, the second being the support for all documentation so called “the memory wall”. In-between can be found an open space, free of any columns, open widely on both sides to large windows creating.

Article source: G8A Architecture & Urban Planning

Growing mysteriously from the ground, concrete columns move rhythmically, branching and wrapping four levels of the courtyard building. Concrete Lace is illuminated by the soft golden light of the setting sun, becoming a part of the skyline. Evening light shines through, interweaving between the concrete skeleton and the skyline.

TDN Residence in Hanoi, Vietnam by i.House Architecture and Construction

Monday, January 7th, 2019

Article source: i.House Architecture and Construction

Situated on Tran Dai Nghia Street, Hanoi, the house lies in a lovely and tranquil alley. 5.4 meters in width and 20.3 meters in length, the house, with two open views at the front and back, overlooks a tree-filled university campus. Such an area, in the urban district, is ideal for creating a living space for a whole family.

With large panels of glass and rough, hollow brick, the panorama in front of the house with perennial trees of nearly 20m is optimized to achieve a great harmony of colors from leaves (green) and concrete (grey). In addition, a contrast can be clearly seen as the brick wall is vertically built to balance with the horizontally recessed loggia and the courtyard. Interlaced among the vertical and horizontal lines is a big tub of plant at the corner of the loggia on the second floor, which brings balance and sets the facade of the house apart. Therefore, the appeal of the house comes from a perfect blend of inner-outer spaces and the solidity and void in its architecture.

NHÀ TẰM is one of the residential house projects being redesigned for improvements by Landmak Architecture company. The house is located in the high class Ciputra Hanoi urban area, with the original premises being constructed in bulk approximately 15 years ago. This house model has become out-of-date and obsolete nowadays, whereas the initial ventilation and lighting did not satisfy the utilizing demands for room functions. The house owners have implemented improvement, modification, renovation, decoration, etc., for many times but the house malfunctions have not been thoroughly resolved. Therefore they came to us in 2016 with the determination to bring a “makeover” to the house.

Cricket house project took place in suburb, Hanoi. With total area of 560m2, the construction area of 200m2, this is one of the projects designed and finished by 365 Design. After a lot of concept that stayed on paper, this is the concept we invested in a lot of time and thought to bring to reality. The main inspiration of this project is Nature. Cricket House is designed with open spaces to maximize the connection between people and nature. During construction process, we couldn’t optimize material used becaused of the location in suburb. In the end, we used the available material from local supplier and plants to create a morden architectural space that could get on well with the surrounded space.
