Lingbao City is a county-level city under the jurisdiction of Sanmenxia City, Henan Province. This was a building renovation project located in a community in the north of Lingbao. Later, it became a child growth and development center of the area. Before transformation, the original building was of low quality, with cramped space, and an unfinished office building was on the opposite to its south side. And the construction period for the project was tight. What’s more, this was the first time for a well-known Chinese preschool education institution to develop the county-level city market, so the conservative expectations of the local market led the start-up capital relatively limited.

1. Separation of function and space

Real estate sales center is a kind of temporary architecture that can only last several months or few years at most, which is usually dismantled after houses are sold out. Even if it can be preserved in few cases, functions are completely transformed. Interior decoration of real estate sales centers is generally complicated, causing obstacles and waste of resources in the process of functional repurposement.

Being elegant and dignified is not only a matter for a small number of elites, it is the common responsibility and mission of the general public. To better record the life of elites, the designer avoids the single decoration style of piling up complex colors. Instead, concise expression which matches the gentle, modest and self-disciplined temperament of urban elites is adopted.

Article source: BLVD

Located amid the historic city of Luoyang, this new construction hotel features 250 guest rooms and suites. The design overlay the contemporary hotel with a sleek, sophisticated atmosphere that references the city’s rich context and history.

The design celebrates the places where the functional spaces and the radiance of light on the 6th sky lobby floor converge. Staying true to the core values of the Hyatt Place brand, the clean, relaxed and youthful nature was revived and highlighted. Stones and tiles, dark copper, textured glass, and warm wood create an earthy architectural foundation into which subtle textures and sculptural forms are layered. Screen elements maintain the transparency and connection between spaces while provoking curiosity within the guests.
