Social Housing In Ibiza, Spain by RIPOLLTIZON Estudio de arquitectura

Wednesday, February 8th, 2023

Article source: RIPOLLTIZON Estudio de arquitectura

The site is located on the border of the residential area of the Ibiza marina and an area of floodplains and crops. The urban context is diverse in architectural character and content, where buildings for leisure and tourism coexist in the form of blocks of flats and apartments for vacation use. The landscape is formed through the placement of these isolated volumes which no identifiable masterplan or response to the local environmental factors, presenting therefore a collage of different characters.

Roca Views in Ibiza, Spain by FRAN SILVESTRE ARQUITECTOS

Thursday, November 11th, 2021

Article source: FRAN SILVESTRE ARQUITECTOS

Can we build on this hillside by depositing a single piece? To answer this question, the project is drawn as a very thin plate, 9 centimeters thick, which is folded respecting the unevenness and the regulations.

Garage, day area, pool and night area configure the descending sequence of the housing program. Front and side views are enhanced, understanding the space as a mechanism that captures the surrounding landscape, as a shady place from which to enjoy Ibiza.

Ca l’Amo. A house in Ibiza, Spain by Marià Castelló

Monday, March 9th, 2020

Article source: Marià Castelló

Ca l’Amo is a plot of 42,385 m2 located at the north end of the San Mateo plain on the island of Ibiza. In it there is an area of pronounced topography and fanned by stone walls that generate an iconic landscape of the countryside of Ibiza. Over time and the progressive abandonment of agricultural activities, the terraces have been ambushed and today it is a forest area where mainly pine and juniper coexist.

The intervention has been located taking advantage of the last of the terraces, between two existing dry stone walls and on the border between the rugged part of the plot and a flat and low area to the south west. This pre-existence in the territory has conditioned the disposition of the functional program and the adjacent free spaces, concentrating the intervention on it and leaving the rest in its natural state, unaltered.

Mediterraneo 01 _ Private Villa in Ibiza, Spain by Metroarea Architetti Associati

Sunday, January 8th, 2017

Article source: Metroarea Architetti Associati

The main concept of the building is the fusion of the Mediterranean culture with the natural environment.

Inspired by the roman villa and by Spanish and Arab heritage, the house takes form through the natural lexicon of Italian expressionism (Moretti, Michelucci etc.), which also maintains a strong memory of Rudolf Steiner. For us, infact, designing a contemporary building in 2016 means establishing a dedicated dialogue with history and with nature.
