Norhouse in Bandung, Indonesia by Aaksen Responsible Aarchitecture

Friday, April 20th, 2018

Article source: Aaksen Responsible Aarchitecture

Urban residential development increases rapidly with the advancement of life expectancy in urban areas. Aside from expensive land prices and low quality of life, it is not difficult to find dense settlements in the middle of the city. Most of those have no access to big vehicles, even though there is a road nearby.

Located in a dense settlement with a narrow alley as the only access, precisely in Jalan Pahlawan, Bandung, West Java – Indonesia, NOR House is a residence of a couple, Sisca, and Ovian. The two-floor house was completed in early 2018. The name of NOR House itself is taken from their children, Adara Kaila Eleanor and Sophia Cyrilla Eleonora, who have the word nur or light in Arabic as part of their name.

Golkar Jakarta Office in Indonesia by Delution Architect

Wednesday, November 22nd, 2017

Article source: Delution Architect

Narasi:

What do you think when you hear a political party office? For us, Delution, political office especially in Indonesia has a rigid impression, sealed, unfriendly, and fortify themselves from the society. Perhaps the frequent internal or external conflicts of the party and also the public demos are the main reasons for the impression of the fortified and sealed offices of the party, but philosophically, it is very contradictory to see that the life of a political party exists in its own constituents. Golkar Party of DPD DKI Jakarta, as the project owner and one of the oldest party in Indonesia intends to conduct a revolution to become a more modern, transparent, collaborative, and open party so that it can begin to attract the attention of young people who are interested in politics to practice directly, of course all the visions must be in line with the office building which is the main container of activity and “face of civilization” of this political party.

Gunung Sahari House in Jakarta, Indonesia by WEN Urban Office

Thursday, October 12th, 2017

Article source: WEN Urban Office

Gunung Sahari House is located in an urban high-density area in Central Jakarta on a 3-by-30-meter strip of land located between an existing house owned by the client’s family and the main access street to the site. The architects are asked to design a single-occupancy house that includes all of the basic amenities and a studio space. While the site is strategically located within the community with easy access to public transportation and facilities, the site’s unique shape and narrow access point bring several challenges to the design process from determining spatial placement of programs to planning the construction process.

School of Alfa Omega in Tangerang, Indonesia by RAW Architecture

Sunday, July 30th, 2017

Article source: RAW Architecture

Alpha Omega school is an educational building with spirit of locality. Located on Tangerang city, it sat on 11700 sqm area with the prior condition of swamp and paddy field. The design responded this unstable soil condition by raising structure to 2.1  m high above the ground. The site itself was chosen as part of design scheme, —corresponding to its natural surroundings, in order to give children sense of closeness to nature, thus invoking outdoor-learning experience.(The building integrates 4 modular buildings, with efficient access point in one central court yard, due to limitation of local land zoning of what can be built and what can not be built.)
