Between Land and Sky home in Beit Zayit, Israel by Joel Jospe – Architects

Wednesday, October 26th, 2016

Article source: Joel Jospe – Architects

When I first saw the lot, the steep slope overlooking the Jerusalem neighborhood of Ein Karem, I wanted to do one thing only – to keep walking forward, hover in the air above the canyon, quietly observing the landscape visible in every direction. This was the primary motivation during planning. I did not give up this desire, or the opportunity inherent in it, and have given it to the owners.

The Regional Council of Judea District in Beit Shemesh, Israel by YBGSNA

Saturday, September 24th, 2016

Article source: YBGSNA

Our proposal for the new Regional Council of Building of the District of Judea is based on a balance between our desire to insert a modest intervention in the landscape and a need to design a public building with a substantial formal presence. The relatively large lot (almost 20 dunam) and the modest program, led us to divide the areas into three building masses: a formal “cube” at the upper road with two wings at the lower road, embracing a public plaza.

Gran Mediterraneo in Tel Aviv, Israel by Architectures David Tajchman

Friday, September 2nd, 2016

Article source: Architectures David Tajchman

The Gran Mediterraneo is an innovative concept of High-Rise that integrates a public automated car-park, operates as the first induction charging station for public and shared electric driverless vehicles in the city (future ‘sherut’), and mixes programs of vertical living: residential apartments and hotel, bars and restaurants, farming and public gardens, swimming pools and dead sea spas, co-working spaces for offices and start-ups, educational and events spaces. Innovative also with its topological geometry giving a spiral effect to the high-rise, the Gran Mediterraneo breaks with the global and usual stacking of horizontal slabs wrapped with mirrored glass, aiming to renew Tel Aviv skyline with a ‘Unesco proclaimed white city’ specific vertical architecture. To be built with white concrete, using the latest construction and digital technologies, the curvy high-rise is filled with mediterranean and dead sea natures.

Two Family House in Savyon, Israel by Israelevitz Architects

Friday, August 26th, 2016

Article source: Israelevitz Architects

The connections system, between the exterior and the interior as well as the different areas of the house, was at the core of the plan designed by architects Hila and Danny Israelevitz for a house in Savyon, Israel. The result: a house to be discovered, which is not read at once but in stages, while creating a discovery experience, changing interests and sensations.

The owners of the house, which is located in Savyon, came to architects Hila and Dan Israelevitz with a reasonably standard program, with no wild whimsies – all they wanted was a modern house which is open to the outside, functional and convenient for everyday conduct, and suitable for their lifestyle as a family with three children. The chemistry was immediate, and so was the first sketch by architects Israelevitz, which was, actually, the only sketch. “The house owners’ wishes were in line with our concept that the house needs to first and foremost be used suitably for those living in it, and that was the purpose. To create a house which fills the needs of its inhabitants, and at the same time creates and highlights feelings beyond any aspect of time, fashion, or architecture alone”.
