The development of the architectural project has determined the construction of a building that combines a unitary image with an articulated arrangement, determined by external factors (distances, constraints). The trend of the perimeter walls adapts to external constraints, the smallness of the land does not allow to define geometrically determined trends. Starting from the given perimeter, through a series of minor corrections, orientation corrections and consolidation of rotations, a plant has been determined that is repeated on the first floor, except for small differences. The articulated plant does not have the possibility to determine the course of the ridge on geometric bases. It is in terms of volume that there have been various trends in the ridge and the pitches, in order to create an elegantly articulated volume, without poignant elements.
The Italian architectural studio Vudafieri-Saverino Partners renews its collaboration with the Rosa Alpina Hotel SPA, a well-known symbol of Italian hospitality excellence. Located in the heart of the Dolomites, in the suggestive San Cassiano village in Alta Badia, the structure is one of The Leading Hotels of the World, boasting a three-star Michelin restaurant internally and an ample, recently-refurbished SPA area.
The restoration of an old house attic in front of the sea becomes an opportunity to reconsider the entire living space. The common areas of the lounge-dining room on the first floor are extended to the upper floor. The use of a double volume space allows to amplify the entrance of natural light opening sea views and sky scenarios. Light permeates an essential interior. A space designed using surfaces and volumes. Volumes that identify functions, white and smooth surfaces that reflect and absorb reverberations of sky and sea. The staircase, made of iron and wood, is heavier at the bottom and dematerializes along the climb. Shapes and materials are reduced to the essentials. They waive any decorative function attracting the gaze on the fullness of the void. A void that is sometimes occupied by natural elements, such as a courtain of green leaves, or by evanescent figures projected on a bare wall.

The desire to test is the key to define the Dhabbu project: a new restaurant in the historic center of Brescia where the passion for Asian food is combined with a love of tradition.
The restaurant located in a historic building in Carmine district, summarizes in its 150 square meters the outlines of an Asian fusion among ingredients in Chinese, Vietnamese and Thai style contaminated with the taste and aesthetics made in Italy.
DONTSTOP architettura presents the project “Il Cortile” of BASE within the former Ansaldo factory, in Milan. The site is today dedicated to creativity in all its declinations, through one of the most striking urban regeneration projects in Europe.
The family (a couple with a little girl) no longer recognizes itself in the home chosen and furnished a decade ago. The starting point is to give order at all the already existing elements and very different to the stilistic goal the family require but also at the innate but compulsive accumulation trend of the three. A single oak floor becomes the new carpet that overcoats all the ground floor, completely transformed. In the brightness of the light tones of the prevailing finishes, the three major episodes of the dark tones emerge: the kitchen island in gray quartzite; the fireplace and the triangular wardrobe. Both of them are covered in raw black sheets.
The redevelopment project of the old Caproni factory focuses on enhancing the stylistic features of the 1920s’ architecture and aims to transform this old plant into a large complex for Gucci, holding offices, showrooms and spaces for fashion shows and operations connected with graphics, as well as a canteen and restaurant. Recovery and enhancement of the characteristic shed buildings was the first element of the redevelopment project: set out in a regular pattern across the site and featuring modular structural bays, the abandoned industrial warehouses with exposed-brick facades generate, thanks to their spatial layout, a seamless interaction between the inside and outside. Particular attention was paid to the Hangar recovery, a volume of “exceptional” size, once intended for the final assembly of Caproni aircraft, that is now used to house the fashion shows from 2017. Moreover, the Hangar is enhanced by a large open and covered square connected with the main pedestrian axis facing to via Mecenate. This covered square acts as the core of the pedestrian system that includes a tree-lined square, common gardens, patios and green walls. Inside the regular layout of solid structures and empty spaces, a new six-storey tower closely interacts with the old construction: characterized by a glass façade covered with a regular pattern of sunscreens, the new building breaks down the site’s symmetry and tends to draw together all the different functions.
The BRAC bookstore and cafe was conceived in May of 2009 and immediately established itself as a central point in Florence for all those with a passion for contemporary art and cuisine. The formula of a ‘library with a kitchen’, a breath of fresh air in the city, combines the passions of the owners Sacha and Melisa: a chef specialized in vegan and vegetarian cuisine with a love for comics and illustration and a bibliophile with an interest for all contemporary art forms (theatre, dance, cinema, photography).

Corso Vittorio Emanuele Milan Italy | May 2015. For EXPO 2015, the largest italian Megastore just opened the doors, along the most important shopping street of Milano. Developed on 3 levels the new Flagship is the fourth store located in the heart of the Capital of italian fashion & design.
This apartment on two levels appeared little suited to the needs of our client, a young emerging writer who lives alone and loves having friends. The living area had infact very limited size: in a few square meters were condensed kitchen, dining room and living room. Instead, there were three large bedrooms unnecessary for our customer. Also finishes, rustic, Tuscan (cooked to the floor, sponged yellow walls, the stone staircase with iron handrail) did not meet the tastes of the young customer that loved contemporary style. Although the budget was not very high, we managed to optimize it by investing in the fundamental changes that could transform the space: we demolished the kitchen’s wall and we used one of the bedrooms to create a large kitchen and a dining room and better organize the big living area. A resin floor has successfully covered the old terracotta tiles and part of the stair. Master bedroom and guest room are both characterized by pink color as the rest of the apartment. White, pink (in all nuances) and chocolate brown reflect the personality and sweetness of Serena!
