Zuieva Katya and Olga Malyshenko (AKZ Architectura, Kiev, Ukraine) were requested to design a new bar in Kiev. The task was very interesting: create a space that fundamentally different from all the Kiev bars that include bricks, wood and rusty metal. Designers feel absolutely free in their creative decisions. So they take the conception of Naïve bar about sparkling wine and try to show in interior the essence of this drink – the lightness and a sense of celebration. The bright and in the same time gentle colors with the returning 70th style that displayed in furniture with “Art Deco” style bathroom create the space where you whant to forget everything and “just drink sparkling wines and cocktails and feel happy”.
Designers of “SVOYA studio” created private space where everything is made for a quiet rest and peaceful life in the bustling metropolis. The customer wanted to convert the Kiev three-roomed apartment into two-roomed with a spacious area that combines the kitchen with the living and dining room as well as a bedroom with a shower room and a big closet. An important wish was to create the most “honest” atmosphere that means to use natural materials, only the original positions and in every way to support the Ukrainian manufacturer of decoration and furniture. Following this principle, wooden tiles, brought from the Carpathian Mountains, were used in the living area. And ceramic tiles and décor from local potters were used in the lobby. The apartment is decorated with elements of the product design from “SVOYA studio” such as lamps “VPOTOLOK”, pedestals “IZDEREVA”, outlet “8-bit”, a triptych with decorative nails “8526 strikes”, as well as paintings by Anton Sokolov.

Style to which the house – minimalism submits. Anything superfluous, only function to keep air and open space.
The house is intended for long rest in the country. The house has the drawing room kitchen, two bedrooms and two bathrooms. The spacious platform adjoins to the house with the small pool.
The purpose of redevelopment standard studio apartment with total area of 56 square meters is to combine the kitchen and living room into one multifunctional space. All basic necessary for living areas are compact housed: a kitchen, a dining room, a bedroom and a relaxation area with a sofa.
Commissioned by Baum construction company, the project aims to design a standard summer cottage, suitable for small-scale construction, supposedly, in Kyiv region. The design of the cottage reflects some of the most striking features of this type of houses in Ukraine, such as the necessity of home burglary protection, negligent attitude to or sheer absence of landscaping, the very fact that the house is almost never used in other seasons rather than in summer.
The design of a new studio for Inter TV channel features the principle of finding ultimate constituents of various elements. The interior design provides for hidden lighting which is supposed to accentuate the shape of the objects and create the general light. The studio is designed as a venue for entertaining shows and debates. The project is presented with the use of 3D visualization.
On the occasion of the UEFA European Football Championships in 2012, which Ukraine is staging jointly with Poland, the rebuilding of the Olympic Stadium for the final game has been realized.
The new design for the reconstruction of the stadium respects the historic fabric with its important filigree prestressed concrete upper tier built in 1968, the frame of the new roof structure being detached and placed clear of the existing bowl. This most distinctive feature is therefore being encased in a new filigree glass façade and will be duly illuminated with appropriate lighting.
Working on the Project we tried to prove to client and to ourselves that concrete could be warm, wood could be smooth and metal could be soft. The project itself was a top floor 3-level penthouse with total space of 380sq.m., located in the heart of Kyiv on a Dnieperriver. Third floor of the apartment comprised an open terrace facing Kyiv left bank panorama on a south-east with total space of 250sq.m.
