The newly completed mid-hill residence by KiKi ARCHi is in Kunming’s famous golf resort. The owner is a golf enthusiast, and he hopes that this house can provide rest space and take care of the needs of each family member so that they can enjoy the scenery and get close to nature to the greatest extent. After a year of design and renovation, the old single-storey building is now a stylish double-storey holiday house, which stands halfway up the hill, surrounded by green forests and cherry trees.
Fitness is regarded as the embodiment of “progressive” concepts such as self-discipline and restraint, and gym is usually regarded as the physical training ground for contemporary people, who are looking forward to solving their physical anxieties and health problems in this venue to fatigue their body.
The project is located in Binjiang Junyuan District, Zhangguanying Road, Panlong District, Kunming City, Yunnan Province. Binjiang Junyuan is the former Zhangguanying Village and Zhangguanying Flea Market. It is one of the largest urban villages in Kunming’s Second Ring Road. Now it has been transformed into a large-planned urban residential area based on the city. There are not only a few large urban complexes, but also several primary and secondary schools, office and business districts, which give a huge young consumer group to satisfy the consumption level of creating a new experience cafe.
The project is located on the ground floor of the tower apartment. It used to be a beauty salon. It is not an ideal location for a city cafe, but the owner is confident to create a large enough flow of people through a good design and Internet marketing.
Emerging Milan based firm Peter Pichler Architecture won an international invited competition for a mixed use development in Taiping, China. It is the first project in China for the young firm, that was founded in Milan two and a half years ago. The mixed use development consists of a boutique Hotel, residential apartments, offices, retail, parks and parking.

The generative concept of the museum is derived from the potent imagery of Yunnan’s famed local “stone forests”, the dramatic geography of raw, powerful beauty of the geological landscapes sculpted by nature over millennia, and the idea of stacked boxes holding fragile treasures, giving the architecture its defining metaphor as an assembled container of artifacts – a group of spatial volumes that congregates to form a larger mass, where individual pieces are still evident.
Rather than subject visitors to a fevered sales pitch, this Sales Office for a fast-developing community is conceived as a cultural and regional natural history experience. Located adjacent to a wetland preserve, the building provides a special experience for property buyers.
Isabel Flooring is an established flooring specialist in China. H3 is their foray into other wood products such as timber doors and built-in furnitures. This design exercise will attempt to portray H3 as “The Wood Specialist” and set a store identity for the brand’s countrywide expansion.
