KANAPKA BAR is the project of a metropolitan restaurant created by the Ukrainian designers Aleksandr and Vladimir Yudin. The restaurant has a special atmosphere due to its historic stylistic concept that bring the guests back to the beginning of the last century. The institution is located on the Andriyivskyy Descent that, as it is known, is a street filled with interesting events and stories. The mystical atmosphere of KANAPKA BAR, the charm of the past years and the intellectual decoration are something appreciated by turists and locals!
The designers of the studio YUDIN Design, Aleksandr and Vladimir Yudin, have recently completed one of their latest projects concerning the interior design and the realization of the brand identity for REBERBAR, a brand new pub located in the centre of Kiev, not far from the Olimpiyskiy stadium.
Beer and ribs are the main elements that inspired the Brothers Yudin to create the brand identity of REBERBAR, starting from the name, the logo and the various design objects and decorations that are unique and exclusive design solutions made by the studio YUDIN Design for this place.
Two-level apartment on the top floor of a building built in 1917. Total area is 212 m2.
Customers’ wishes: “We have enough activities and problems away from home, at home we rest. However, apartment design shouldn’t absolutely be dull or boring in a year or so, it must contain come special catchy and “wow” elements we’d admire for couple of month and then we’d hear “wows” from our guests. At the same time it should be calm and sweet inside.”

In a discussion with a customer colour was born for an apartment, where the color appeared at every apartment, characterizing the atmosphere of every separate space. So the tints of blue color were used in registration of living room, in spaces of kitchen and table zone they were complemented by yellow-green facades and expressive decorative pattern. The cabinet of apartment is executed in marine tones with the use of color of Tiffany. A blue color sets a mood in a bathroom, while guest bathroom was executed in a red tint. The interior of bedroom is realized by violet.
A single nameless door with a cutoff switch that looks like iron doorway of transformer house marks the entrance to LoggerHead bar. It is located in the dark patio in the very heart of the city. Adherents of bar culture have been hurrying and scurrying about the city in quest of this secret door for a month. As far as the bar is for friends and friends of the friends, it is not easy to find the way to it. You will not find it’s Facebook page as well as any identification marking. There is a peculiar audience here which is unique, closed and original.
The object is in an apartment house placed in the downtown of Kyiv. The project objective was to convert untenantable upper floor space to a loft. Work on heat insulation required dismount of peripheral brick partitions and boarded ceiling. Original arc roofing structure that appeared underneath was left open in the interior space for several purposes. It was used to mount new partitions and as a basis of new elementsextending current interior space and providing more comfortable ways to the newly createdaccessible roof area. Roof arc structures also allowed separationof different functional zones in the interior.
Concept of blank sheet is the main idea of the interior. Basically, it could be transformed to everything: picture, page of a great book or became something totally new.
