The PortHole pavilion is an experimental architecture, designed by Antonio Nardozzi & María Dolores del Sol Ontalba [TOMA!] for the tenth edition of the FAV at La Grande-Motte, decerned with the Jury and the Public awards.
The main wall of “Breath Box” is reflective, facing the horizon. It does not only recreate the image of the sea, it transforms by its own attributes. The wind comes lift the many reflective modules, providing a duality between visual experience and reflection ripple.
“It is not the right angle that attracts me, nor the straight line, hard and inflexible, created by man. What attracts me is the free and sensual curve that I find in the body of the beloved woman.”
The Festival des Architectures Vives aims to raise public awareness of the wide range of architecture. It seeks not only to highlight the work of a young generation of architects, landscape architects and urban planners but also to make discover unexpected urban areas.

Now since 2011, we implemented the realization Pavilion FAV. This flag allows the public reception and dissemination of information about the festival. It is also the starting point the course of the festival, a meeting place and discussion all visitors. Taking place strategically in the heart of the city, for 8th edition of FAV two pavilions have been completed.
La Grande Motte city, situated at the edge of the Mediterranean Sea, benefits from a soft and moderate climate. The project of construction of new offices for the technical services of the city of La Grande Motte takes place in a very widely afforested ground. It is a remarkable environment, thanks to the natural elements that surrounds it. So the project testifies of a profound respect for present natural elements while offering a new determinedly contemporary image. The landscape and architectural project presents a strong unity, stemming from the qualities of the place, in order to compose spaces where the environmental quality will be a vector of development.
