A luxurious space inspired by light and picturesque landscapes of an ancient city gives a feeling of exceptional coziness and comfort. To create a luxury home, we have combined a noble architectural building and modern convenience into a premium design.
The Ukrainian Catholic University (UCU), located in Lviv, is the first Catholic university to be opened in the former Soviet Union, with a mission to provide an open, progressive and democratic learning environment for its students and the surrounding community. The UCU has various goals. It wants to make the university accessible to the public and at the same time serve as a role model for higher education in post-soviet Ukraine, a private university accessible to the public.
There is a catchy wordplay in the Pub’s name in Ukrainian, but when translated word-by-word, rather than as an idiomatic expression, it is invariably associated with youth, fun and healthy leafy greens.
The Pub is located in Lviv city center, in a three-storey converted industrial building. Two large rooms on the ground floor and enclosed cobblestone courtyard have been integrated into the Pub’s design.
Happy Place is a combination of cozy residential architecture and modern solutions in interiors. This house has its own unique character, style, and emphasis.
The interior is designed for a young family with children, – here you can find the opportunity of immersing into your own world and relax from the noisy city life.
The transform of one space to another was skillfully presented. Here you have everything: a cozy corner for family meetings near the fireplace, a spacious kitchen that smoothly turns into the dining room, lounge for the rest with friends, and even a pendant swing where you can solitude with your favorite book. The highlight of this project is the children’s “Happy Place”, where parents don’t limit the space for children’s fantasies and craziness and, of course, a lounge attic, where family evenings with movies and parties with friends are held.
Interior is designed for a young couple, so we needed to make a comfortable living with stylish design and maximized area.
Mezzanine allowed to solve the problem of the small area and usage of white color and glass partitions takes the visual part. The first floor acts as an active zone here: in a single open space, there is a hall, a living room, a kitchen and even a bathroom, which the authors placed behind a glass partition to avoid the walls of the premises.
Bedroom and a wardrobe, that is combined with the library were located on the second “floor”. Such “semi-story” placement of these zones allowed to significantly increase the area of the apartment, and the rooms themselves found the atmosphere of comfort and chamber.
Democratic Italian restaurant Tartufo trattoria is located in the heart of Lviv, on the third floor of the Forum Lviv shopping center. Such location greatly influenced the concept of the interior. We decided to move away from the classical and usual perception of Lviv, having left only the materials strongly connected with the spirit and mood of the city. Brass, white marble and oak appear in the interior with a modern twist – without decorative carving, monograms and facets.
As the family extended the residents have preferred to enlarge their home rather than moving elsewhere, as they are in love with their neighborhood and the city. Adding the extension in inner courtyard architects divided the house in two separate partitions.
This very small apartment is located in the heart of the old city Lviv.
Designers wanted to make modern space, so literally every inch is used with a certain funky. Little cuisine contained all the components necessary for a young family, and the center of communication became a large island, which can be fought by necessity and become even larger, or quite compact.
EC-5 Architects, Polish design agency specialising in hospitality architecture and interiors, designed ibis Styles Lviv interiors. Over the course of cooperation with the investor the studio was responsible for creating the concept of rooms and bathrooms interiors, common spaces as well as the signage system.
