Located in a suburban area of Madrid characterized by single-family houses, the 800 sq. m. plot and urban regulations allowed the construction of three semi-detached houses. Instead of this, a three-story building with one house per floor is proposed. Compared to the characteristic semi-detached houses of the neighborhood, with small floor areas and organized in three and even four floors, this building alternatively proposes spacious houses organized on a single floor with large terraces, XL windows, and a shared garden. Therefore, circulation and server spaces are eliminated (stairs, corridors, distributors, and foyers) and the entire surface is gained for living areas.
This commission consisted on the re-conversion of a former electricity supply premise, located on the ground floor of a 1900 building in the center of Madrid, into offices for a new and technological real estate developer.
The required program ends up adapting to the different spaces existing between the massive structural walls.
The determining elements for the design have been the dialogue between the natural terrain of the plot with its views. Simple lines and clear volumes, natural lighting and horizontal features combine harmoniously.
The access to the house is from the highest point of the plot and then following the outer slope of the land we cross the first garden through large stone platforms, which lead us directly to the access of the main volume.
“Feng Shui”: union between nature and man applied in the creation of their spaces. A more harmonious design is created to bring the greatest happiness to whomever lives the space.
The ‘Corner House’ is located in the neighbourhood of Malasaña in Madrid, in one of the corners of a traditional building of the city. Its construction is typical with structural walls on the perimeter and masonry and timber stud partitions to sustain the slabs.
The spatial strategy of the project responds to the advantage given by the corner position, making all those benefits stemming from it be part of the house. The accommodation is set upon the idea of emptying the diagonal direction of the dwelling. This creates an open plan space towards the light corner and allocates all the day/light activities in it, whereas the night/dark ones remain to the sides of this main zone.

For the first time in Spain, Accor Hotels combines three brands in a unique concept in one of its most emblematic hotels in Madrid. Ibis Styles, Novotel and Insólito as the gastronomic brand, create a space that works as a whole, but where the taste of the three different brands can be felt and enjoyed.
The concept created by Stone Designs is inspired by the Spanish comics of the fifties and sixties, the so called “tebeos”. A time, when the American comics where very difficult to find and when a generation of great Spanish illustrators and vignette creators was born.
Beauty, health and well-being are some of the terms that are both debated and recurrent present in the history of humanity; Clinique La Prairie, with its first Aesthetics & Longevity center outside of Switzerland, located in the center of Madrid, wants to continue being identified with these concepts. As pioneers in cell therapies who are considering acting against the aging process, where technical innovation is at the level of medical care, this Clinique is linked to a sophisticated luxury hospitality, this is where the challenge of this project seems to be: how to translate and build all these concepts to the space / time of an aesthetic medicine clinic?
The second Freshly Store has already opened its doors in the heart of Madrid; a 100m2 space at 46 Fuencarral. After the success of the first space in Barcelona, the Freshly Cosmetics team has once again joined forces with the Valencian studio CuldeSac for this new challenge.
A space that is the evolution of the previous one. Freshly’s iconic curve reflects the brand’s personality: it makes things easier, speeds up routes, takes risks and breaks new paths. A brave and cornerless brand. In addition to these attributes, there is also the DNA of Identy Beauty, the new make-up line with which the company has broken into the market. An in-store journey in parallel through the duality within the same brand. The more conventional face of Freshly in front of the spontaneity of Identy.
An exceptionally privileged site on Madrid’s most important avenue called for a building that would represent the client’s identity and serve its tenants’ needs while engaging the city of which it is a part.
