Cool Blue Villa in Marbella, Spain by 123DV

Thursday, May 4th, 2023

Article source: 123DV

Being surrounded by water. A stunning view of the Mediterranean Sea. The residents of this villa enjoy a maximum holiday experience in their holiday villa. In the long-term they could even transform their holiday home into a place to settle down and grow old happily ever after.

To guarantee a certain level of privacy for the owners, the street side facade looks rather aloof. After opening the door in the wall, the visitor would expect a continuation of the defensive atmosphere, but the effect of inversion is astonishing. From that moment on it surprises you everytime. After the first surprising element – the stepping stones in the water – you enter complete spatial openness. A transparent look is created by applying glass and long sight lines. The water and its reflection in different locations enhance this effect.

Palocortado Marbella in Spain by Paco Lago Interioriza

Thursday, February 17th, 2022

Article source: Paco Lago Interioriza

A flagship in the city hostelry industry and a space that, through design, has managed to forge an identity in its spaces. This is what Palocortado offers in a new space at Puerto Banus, which is modulated throughout the day to move from a signature gastronomic proposal, where the product is the protagonist, to a place where you can stop time in the middle of the afternoon to savor notes of chocolate and champagne, under the reflections of a soft and relaxed light.

Article source: In Out Studio

Going back to the roots in a frame of contemporaneity is the interior design manifesto of a new and surprising suite concept designed by In Out Studio.

LE SUD SUITE is born from a very personal reflection of Nayra Iglesias, director of the studio, about the current situation we are living in: “Mother Earth is warning us that we have to change the way we live and, consequently, we have to redirect the way we design”.

House of the Sun in Marbella, Spain by Fran Silvestre Arquitectos

Sunday, October 11th, 2020

Article source: Fran Silvestre Arquitectos

We have always been fascinated by the work of Andreu Alfaro “The door of the Universe” made in 1983. A circle rotated and suspended over a square. For some years it was located at the door of our studio, and it was surprising its ability to make us think, place ourselves at the base when the day ended and consider that we were indeed facing a threshold that opened the door to infinite space.

Jellyfish House in Marbella, Spain by Wiel Arets Architects

Wednesday, February 19th, 2014

Article source: Wiel Arets Architects

Located in Marbella, on the Mediterranean coast of Spain, the Jellyfish House’s neighboring buildings block its view onto the nearby sea. Appropriately, it was chosen to cantilever the house’s pool from its roof, so that the beach and sea can always be seen while sunbathing or swimming. The house is organized around two paths of circulation: a ‘fast’ and ‘slow’ set of stairs, which intertwine and traverse the house’s four levels of living.

Single family property in Marbella, Spain by A-cero

Saturday, May 26th, 2012

Article source: A-cero

A-cero presents one of its last projects in single family houses in Marbella. The property is placed on the outskirts of Puerto Banús, in one of the most famous and exclusive developments in the Sun Coast. This development is located on one side of a mountain but very close to the coast, with plenty of Mediterranean vegetation.

The plot where the project is located has a notorious slope that goes down to the South from the street access. This fact would determinate the design to adapt the house to the environment and achieve excellent views of the Mediterranean Sea.
