Casa Gallardo in Mexico DF, Mexico by AT103Tuesday, August 12th, 2014Article source: AT103 Located in one of the most important historical areas in Mexico City, on a narrow site (7.00 x 25.00 meters) that has an entrance to another site at the end, this house responds to the specific characteristics and legal constrains of its milieu. After different volumetric studies, one on solar impact determined that the house be transformed from one with a single-line body into an S-shaped one. The S shape allowed for the permeable area of the house to be distributed between two patios; it also generated, at the same time, an open area and light and ventilation inlets.
