Xaman Tulum in Quintana Roo, Mexico by Estudio Atemporal

Thursday, February 21st, 2019

Article source: Estudio Atemporal

Located in the jungle of Tulum, this space, like its sister house in Mexico City, makes a different statement than the other places around, it hides its entrance, just to bring it to the attention of those who are really looking for a different experience, keeping the line of the speakeasy.

In this space a succession of concrete volumes emerge from the ground to contrast with the vegetation creating a series of pavilions with a heavy material feel that at the same time can be felt light by its structure.

MA Lounge in Tepoztlán, Mexico by CADAVAL & SOLÀ-MORALES

Monday, February 18th, 2019

Article source: CADAVAL & SOLÀ-MORALES

The MA lounge is located on one side of the front garden of MA House. They share landscape, garden, and cross views. It has a very specific program, and of temporary use: it is the space of shade next to the swimming pool, the place for readings and games near the water, the space designed for the body and its cares.

The Lounge establishes a clear dialogue with the MA House. which it completes. However, despite working with the same language and materials, the project seeks to create a world of its own, centred on the coexistence of the exhibition of an open world, with vigorous vegetation and light in abundance and a large pool with variable section to allow various uses against a small intimate patio, of very controlled scale and uses where the body and scale of the user is the main actor; a space where the protagonist is the definition of a very forceful limit, with the stone and the vegetation that is conquering.

Green Hills Kindergarten & Primary School in Atizapan, Mexico by BROISSIN

Article source: BROISSIN

The concrete parallelepipeds lean from one side to another encouraging the children to develop their creativity in maternal and in activity classrooms, K I, K II. For preschool, where students enter a stage of preparation for elementary school, the development of the project becomes more linear and simple by a construction consisting of reinforced concrete bays supported on exposed concrete piers that give the impression of a concrete building on stilts, this elevated condition among with the terrain’s slope favors the passage of rain water under the building and it also favors the formation of an ecological corridor for species that integrate the cold forest ecosystem of the region.

Showroom Organitec in Mexico City, Mexico by BROISSIN

Wednesday, February 6th, 2019

Article source: BROISSIN

The origin. Since the beginning of the project we were captivated by the idea of making a display window façade that could function as protection for the interior –the natural function of any façade- and at the same time be able to display a product in it. Breaking away from the conventional commercial glass façade that allows us to see into it without any further ambition.
