Casa C in Milan, Italy by Francesco Librizzi Studio

Wednesday, September 17th, 2014

Article source: Francesco Librizzi Studio

A very small apartment within a very “Milanese” building dated 1900. Two rooms plus a bath room, characterized by a narrow footprint compared to the quite high ceiling. Windows, doors, and above all the floor tiles, had finishes and materials survived to another century: something precious to save as a resource for the new inhabitants of this space.

LOFT in Milan, Italy by MINACCIOLO S.R.L.

Friday, August 1st, 2014

Article source: MINACCIOLO S.R.L.

A metropolitan loft endorsed by Minà & Natural Skin can unveil the expressive potential as well as the reasoning behind the space. The black metal and the cooked wood, merge together to create scenographic environments with a safe sculptural impact. The spaces are open and dynamic and receive much praise – thanks to the flexibility of the possible layouts. The interior gives rise to and articulates intimate and theatrical glimpses, whilst still marrying up the ideal and practical side of an idea of comfort which is truly contemporary. The atmosphere becomes dynamic and aesthetically like days gone by, with unprecedented traces of refined and decisive lines.

House in Milan, New York by Rangr Studio with Charlet Design

Wednesday, July 2nd, 2014

Article source: Rangr Studio with Charlet Design

After years of renting a weekend house in the area, our clients found land they loved and asked us to design a weekend and summer home. The clients were particularly fond of one of their previous rentals — a chicken coop turned into a small house — and that became a departure point for our design. Within a strict budget, the design took advantage of a steep slope in the hillside, using the foundation as a retaining wall on the high point of the hill and opening up the lower story with doors and windows. The house looks small and humble from the street side, with a mostly opaque wall creating privacy, but opens up to a deck and stone terrace, the facade punctured with windows looking to the Catskill Mountains.

Dunes Bowl in Brera, Milan, Italy by Alessandro Isola

Saturday, May 10th, 2014

Article source: Alessandro Isola

By taking simple everyday objects such as bowls and serving trays the design reinterprets them in a more contemporary form by morphing them together to create a sculptural piece.

The shape was inspired by organic, free flowing forms such as sand dunes.  The two concave sections are in different sizes to hold aperitif snacks, hors d’oesurves or fresh fruit.
